Second time i have used the Brambles, Bob is always polite and helpful, and the fresh breakfast tastes so much better than at a large chain hotel, rooms are very clean and tidy
The lady who checked us in was lovely. She showed us to our room and told us about the breakfast menu.
The room is nice and has everything you could need.
The only negative is that there was only half a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom and no spares anywhere to be seen.
We were well looked after by Bob who also provided useful local information. The location was good, the room was great and the freshly cooked breakfasts were excellent!
Would definitely recommend,
Bob was a terrific host. He cooks a wonderful breakfast!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Room comfort
The stay was very mixed. On the plus side it the cleanliness of the bedding and bathroom was excellent and the breakfast was wonderful. On the downside the size of the room and the ensuite left a lot to be desired. They were both absolutely tiny. despite the room being advertised as accessible. I am disabled and need a zimmer frame to move a round at night which was impossible with the layout of the room. We had to have a major rearrangement of the furniture to allow me to access the toilet. Also there was nowhere to put anything like toiletries either in the bedroom or the bathroom. and the bathroom was not very private to the outside. Having said all of this if I had been a single traveller needing an overnight stay somewhere just outside Cambridge it would have been an excellent option. The owner Bob was very friendly.

The owners were on holiday the person in charge did not seem to know what was going on. We paid for breakfast, on the first morning we were told to just help ourselves. There was cereal, fruit and toast, which was ok, but a little odd. The next two days the kitchen and breakfast room were locked. The room was very small, thankfully the bathroom was big enough to put our bag in as there was no where to store it in the bedroom. Location was good

The hosts were friendly and available, the breakfast was Great!
Very comfortable, easy stay. Nice breakfast. No complaints. Loved the location, being outside the city and able to go for some early morning fresh air. Nice and quiet too.
Lovely location in the countryside near Cambridge. Also very close to the Newmarket race course. Peaceful location. Easy and free parking. Clean and comfortable B&B with friendly owners and staff. We enjoyed our one night stay and also the hearty and delicious breakfast
I was going to be later than expected so I rang and was told where my key would be and what I needed to do. I was then rung back to make sure I knew how to find them as they are further out of the village than most expect. The room was warm and welcoming with plenty of hot drinks to make. Nice clean bathroom and lots of hot water. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The owner, Bob was friendly and we had a good old chinwag. With regard to the room, the bed was comfortable and clean but pillows were too hard for me. There were a few cobwebs in the top corners but I’m a country girl and this place is out in the sticks so I wasn’t bothered personally. I’ll definitely stay here again (but I’ll bring my own pillow.)
Don't use the geocode for directions as appartently that is for the road which is very long so this location is not easy to find in the dark. the owner was not very helpful when we could not access the wifi - his attitude was the wifi is not working - but we knew it was for other people. turned out we had an out of date Code despite checking with him twice. Another guest kindly intervened at breakfast with the correct details.
Owner very helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Quiet and peaceful location. Visiting a friend in next village so ideal for me. Price for room competitive for location
