When I read other reviews, thought they must be exaggerated or fake, but this place really is everything others say. Absolutely beautiful property. Warm, friendly caring staff. Loved the private flight experience to and from SJO. Waterfall hike tour. A little more challenging than we were first led to expect, but we made it, LOVED it! Casitas beautiful. Huge! Spa and fitness and pools all excellent, big, new. Only minor criticisms: Fitness centre equipment a little limited. No leg machines. Food is overall very good, but some dishes a little underwhelming. Breakfasts excellent. In-room dining, so-so. Understandably food is pricey, as to be expected for the stature of the property. We spent an average of $170 US per adult per day for meals. We don’t drink much. Adds up.

We will be back!

We loved our stay here! It was the perfect vacation to ring in the new year. We highly recommend taking a private plane to the resort. Hacienda AltaGracia is the perfect combination of relaxation and activity. We loved the horseback rides, the ultralight flight, hiking and relaxing by the gorgeous infinity pool. The resort grounds are gorgeous. The food is great. The breakfast is top notch. The staff is top notch. We will be back!

Your every need is attended to without any problem. Beautiful setting with five star accommodations, friendly staff and top class facilities. Breakfast and lunches were amazing but we were a bit disappointed with the dinner menu. Would definately go again in a heartbeat!

A great place to stay

You can be as busy or chilled out as you want to be. The location is fabulous and the resort is perfection. Beautiful spa with large indoor salt water pool. The food was great and the staff were very attentive. I highly recommend flying from San Jose to San Isidro del General. Traffic around San Jose is a nightmare.

One of the finest hotels in the world.

The staff, when it came to booking and helping with ideas for our holiday, were amazing. The resort is breathtaking. The casitas (villas) are first rate, the location is stunning and the staff could not help you enough. Super friendly and very professional. I want to go back soon.

Die gebuchte , bezahlte und von Hotel. com schriftlich bestätigte Zimmerkategorie wurde uns trotz mehrmaligem nachfragen nicht ermöglicht, da alle Casitas ausgebucht seien! Statt der Casita erhielten wir für diese 4 Nächte eine Suite. Das down grade hat uns sehr überrascht und verärgert! Das Verhalten des zuständigen Managers war absolut unprofessionell. Schade für dieses wirklich wunderschöne Hotel ! Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Essen und die Freizeitabgebote sind im Vergleich zu anderen gleichwertigen Hotels stark überteuert.
