Our stay at the Novotel went great. The staff were extremely helpful throughout the stay and the location was perfect. We were not too far away from Giza and not too far away from New Cairo. The area was very walkable as well.

Everyone was courteous and helpful. The room was great and the river view was amazing. The mini bar is overly expensive and not enough creamer. Kettle was cheap quality and pretty old. The reception is tight, pool area is pretty small, no green areas around and the roof top is paid to enjoy.

Our family of 4 with kids enjoyed our 4 nights at the Novotel. We came off an exhausting 14 hour layover and were happy with our suite. We were in a nonsmoking room facing the Nile on the 3rd floor and although we could hear some noise, it did not bother us. The view was amazing, the service was excellent, breakfast was good and the kids slept well on the pull out couch. We had a delicious meal at the rooftop restaurant. I would definitely stay here again when back in Cairo.

This is my absolute favorite Cairo hotel! The Novotel staff is wonderful and kind. The rooms are large, lovely, and have wonderful air conditioning. The location is beautiful. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

We had a wonderful stay thanks to the kind and friendly staff and lovely view of the Nile. The hotel is a short walk away from the Egyptian Museum and is on the quieter side of the river. The food was great and views from the rooftop restaurant were spectacular. Thanks to all for a great stay and to Mr. Omar for keeping our room spotless.

Pros Amazing view, lovely and very helpful staff. Very good location to go around in Cairo (and Giza). Thanks to Ahmed at the reception, he was very kind to give us a free upgrade. Breakfast was decent enough too. Cons Couple of minor issues (blocked toilet, telephone not working, etc.) but they were very quick to address them so not a big deal.

The staff was very helpful and addressed any requests or adjustments I've ask for. I am very thankful to the manager at the reception, the reception agents, and Ramadan who took care of my room during my long stay. I will definitely come back!

Happy to come again

It had sweeping views of the Cairo skyline and the Nile river. The hustle and bustle of the city was all around but it still felt peaceful in the core and extremely safe. The staff were knowledgeable, welcoming & the views from the room were great. The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. All things that make for a nice stay in my opinion. A highlight for me was the daily breakfast and waking up that first morning it was the first time I realized this city needs to accommodate foreigners from all over the world. The options were accommodating to both a western and eastern pallet all at once. It was hard to not overeat as I wanted to make sure I had room for the culinary beast that I’d soon find Cairo to be.

Need to improve your wifi. Almost impossible to work effectively with how inconsistent the connection is. Windows don’t close properly and with the amount of street sound makes for an uncomfortable sleep

I did not like over charges . They put sodas and chocolates in the fridge, they didn’t tell me in the check in that you pay for it if you drink it or eat it . Other hotels they refill for you everyday for free . Whatever This sodas and chocolates wasn’t worth 200 Pounds which is4$ . They charged me 1700 pounds which is 40$ . Also food in the roof cafe was really bad me and my wife had a food poisoning.

Dishonesty

The fire alarm rang 3 times during my stay, but receptionists said this was "like training and so on". However, there was no notice for it. I guess there seemed to be something wrong with the fire alarm system. Therefore, I asked them to inspect it. When I checked out, I asked the reason, but they said that I didn't know anything. I was really disappointed with their dishonesty.
