Honestly great stay, the staff were so friendly and always there to help, they brought us waters and towels countless times and were always there in the hallway asking if we needed anything or wanted our rooms cleaned. Would def recommend it.

Comfortable hotel with spacious rooms. Overall fairly clean and new, lovely amenities. Housekeeping were helpful and accommodating. Our room keycard holder had stopped working and staff promptly arranged for an engineer to fix the issue. Breakfast options were good however slightly expensive for what it was.

We stayed at the Sofitel Cairo Downtown with my wife and teen daughter for three nights before heading to Giza. Our Prestige Suite had two balconies and a separate bedroom. Staff was professional and attentive throughout. I highly recommend the Millesime Club option, which provides excellent complementary breakfast and afternoon tea. All in all, an excellent stay in Cairo.

Being from the US - it took me a minute to get used to the smoking indoors in the lobby. Other than that, the staff made this hotel EXCEPTIONAL! Very attentive, kind and supportive throughout the duration of my stay. They brought little gifts and amenities to make everything feel very comfortable - DAILY! I can’t say enough - the genuine hospitality was wonderful.

We had a very good stay at the Sofitel. The pool area was very nice and the lobby is beautiful. Only drawback is the smoke in the lobby. Makes it harder to enjoy. Room was a bit small as well but ok. Staff were helpful. The other Sofitel in Cairo is at a better location though so I would stay there next time.

Staff were kind and good tasted perfect just felt a little let down since I took the family for lunch in the hotel and was waiting for room to be ready and no one let me know the room was ready until I actually went and asked also with laundry service some stains weren’t removed required dry cleaning so I paid for the service twice but overall perfect place to stay staff are perfect they are all so friendly and helpful the room was very spacious with beautiful views of the Nile

I throughly researched available hotels in this area for my planned bday celebration in Cairo, Egypt and I decided on the Sofitel Nile. Upon my arrival and viewing of the hotel’s lobby, I knew that I had made the right decision. From my Check In, until my Check Out, everything was smooth and perfect. This hotel is nicely decorated. The room lay outs are perfect and there are enough restaurants/bar onsite, that you never have to leave the hotel. Again, I made the right decision. I hope this helps the next person(s) considering this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sofitel Downtown. The staff particularly are really friendly and helpful. The location by the Nile was perfect for walks down the Corniche. The food was good at all their restaurants, the concierge set us up with our guide for three days at prices that were comparable to others per my research. I wish I had booked some time at the Spa, but the pool was lovely too. I’d highly recommend this hotel.

Although the amenities were great in the room, the staff didn’t clean the balcony y on a daily basis or the floors in the washrooms unless they were specifically asked to do so. Also during my 8 day stay I never enjoyed a warm shower let alone a hot shower, the water was always cold. The bar is totally over priced, I used a few drinks, some nuts and chips and was charged 175$ American which is gouging in my opinion. Otherwise the staff downstairs were all helpful and respectful.
