The hotel staff were all excellent. The hotel is undergoing renovations and out room hasn’t yet been renovated, so it was quite dated, which is reflected in the price. A great stay, thanks.

The staff were amazing, property was clean and you have all the room facilities you need, great pool, due to the fact the resort was closed for 3yrs and had only reopened 3wks before we came it was in good condition, can’t wait to come back and see the place after the renovations, a big thank you to Lindy and the rest of the staff for being so lovely, we enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back.

Great location. WiFi is horrible. I believe the property recently changed management. They have a lot of work to do as it is very old and dated. You have to ask for housekeeping, and then there’s still no guarantee. Staff is friendly and helpful, and they were willing to store baggage.

The property uses AI-enhanced images of the rooms to make them appear clean, modern, and well maintained. Upon arriving at the hotel, it was immediately obvious that the photos did not accurately represent the property. The exterior was dirty, run-down, and looked as though its best days were 50 years ago. After collecting my key and making my way to the lift, I was greeted by other guests who immediately warned me about the poor condition of the hotel. Unfortunately, they were right. When I entered my room, I was immediately disappointed. The only similarity between the AI-generated images and the actual room was that it contained two beds. The room had a strong musty smell, and it was clear the bathroom had not been cleaned properly. There was hair and dust on the floor that certainly wasn't mine, along with a slimy residue surrounding it. The bed sheets felt stiff and gave the impression they had been reused without being properly washed. The spare blankets were also covered in numerous stains, making them unpleasant to use. Don't be fooled by the AI-enhanced photos or the suspiciously positive bot-like reviews. The reality is nothing like what is advertised, and I would not stay here again.

The bathroom is unusable and dangerous a 3cm step up into the bathroom is major safety hazard no anti slip mat provided for the bath makes it dangerous. No shower screen results in water being spilled onto the floor another safety hazard. I would like to go on but let’s say the room is very tired and run down not fit for use. The staff were pleasant and understanding. We left early and would appreciate a full refund please. Thank you.

This hotel has just been taken over by new owners the staff were saying, so are putting a lot of money into it to get it up to 4 star. The staff were so helpful, my room was great ,and with the improvements it'll only get better. What a location too, loved we were looking out over the ocean, and an easy walk into town. I'll definitely be staying here again when I come back.

My room needed refurbishment but the whole building is being updated. The staff were all very kind and helpful. My view on the balcony was spectacular on the 6th floor. The bed was also very comfortable. For what I paid it was very good. I’d certainly stay again. The pool was also very clean.

The images of this hotel is fake! Be aware of that before you book! The room is pretty old and has a uncomfortable smelling, It is definitely not a 4 star Hotel, they do not even has tool paste, I have to buy from the vendor mechine myself! One star for the view, nothing more than that.

this was the worst hotel i have ever been to. They had just started remodeling it i guess old 1970 style, Bad plastic Furniture with a wood table attached to the wall and horrible bed, I tryed to change rooms hoping there was a better on at this hotel but there was not. since it was late and I did sleep their one night but left at 6am to go to the next door Harborside Hotel which was very nice. this hotel was absolutly horable. also the photo's that are on expedia are not at all anything like the rooms? false advertisment.

The room we received did not match the photo at all. Staff were apologetic but management are obviously doing thsi intentionally, hoping that people don't read reviews and knowing that customers have few other options once they have arrived. Room was not made up when we arrived, when we came back we still did not have adequate bedding for 4 people. The extra bed was jammed in with a door handle right where you would usually place your head. Would not recommend.

The experience was bearable, the hotel was under renovations which should have been mentioned on the website also they should have updated the pictures online. There was no hotel restaurant, bar or any sort of eating area apart from the vending machines at the entrance infront of the courtesy desk. There was no house keeping done to our room at all, (we were there for 4 nights)we could not open curtins of freely as there was people painting the balcony n outside of the building. We had to showered with door close no ventilation because the humidity from the shower could set of the fire alarm. The internet connection was a joke kept cutting out n there was not enough power points around the room n non neither the beds or the one bedside table n the powered point in the bathroom for the "hair-dryer" was so fully n dangerous to the point u had to hold it to keep in on as it kept falling out. N the TV was a joke 32inch. But on the upside the water pressure in the shower was great.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! It is a disgusting, old, run-down hotel that looks nothing like the pictures! The first thing I noticed was the black mould on the back of the front door when I walked in! There was no blanket on the bed, luckily there was a thin blanket that I found in the wardrobe which didn't help much on a particularly cold night for Cairns. There were also no power point's near the bed, I had to plug my phone into the one behind the TV. Please be careful because somehow they are running 3 hotels/motels out of the same horrid building - The Reef Motel and Acacia Court Hotel are being used as fronts for the same building. My mother and brother stayed at The Reef Motel the week before and had the same horrible room and experience as I did. Unfortunately I didn't realise that the Oceanfront was located in the same building when I booked it and was so angry when I rocked up at the front! They also say that they are newly renovated rooms and the hotel is being refurbished but that's a lie too! Please save yourself and do not book here. I never write reviews but had too because if how bad it was and I don't want people to have to experience what my family and I had to go through!

the property was a little further along the esplanade than what I thought. The room was exactly as advertised with water views, lovely. Staff were fantastic. The only downside for this stay was one of the lifts not working, lucky it wasn't extremely busy with travellers with luggage.

It’s a disgrace give it a wide berth Room nothing like photo on Expedia booked for 2 nights 6/8 till 8/8.First night about 11.30pm we were woken to find the door was opened with a key that had been given to someone checking in late, and in they came. Reported it the next morning we will look into it was told .Still waiting. When we checked out 8/8 said about it t again to the so called reception manager. Only to be told I will look into it and you will hear from us. Room is advertised with a kitchen …. You get a Kettle and 2 mugs ,one bedside table ,Balcony with a beautiful view with nothing to sit on. Still waiting to hear back 2 days after check out. Can’t even answer email I sent.
