The staff at the Floriana Boutique Hotel went out of their way to show us compassion and provide help and support when a medical emergency necessitated special consideration. Their response was outstanding and we are incredibly impressed. We enjoyed the on site restaurant and the rooms were very comfortable and attractive. We highly recommend the Floriana Boutique Hotel for its personal attention to detail and guests. We have not stayed in many other hotels that have offered such impressive staff.

We stayed in two different rooms at Floriana during our trip to Cairns. While both rooms were clean, the condition of the property was great, and we enjoyed our stay, do make sure you know which room you are booking. Our first booking was in a fabulous room which overlooked the promenade, while our second booking was in a much smaller ground-floor room without adequate blackout curtains to ensure the exterior light didn't disrupt our sleep (the curtains do not extend across the window panels in the door). Staff were very accommodating and helpful in this regard - but this issue needs to be addressed ASAP.

The retro room was so beautiful, especially as we had an ocean view and could have the windows open to hear the ocean and feel the breeze. We were also treated to the acoustic music rambling up the stairwell into our room from the restaurant below. All in all a romantic stay with wonderful staff, food and a very comfortable bed

The staff were exceptionally lovely and helpful, although communication about an early departure was definitely lacking. Our room was small and incredibly noisy as it was above the restaurant kitchen and at the head of the stairs to the lobby. Beautiful Hotel

We enjoyed this hotel. It is beautiful and elegantly restored We stayed in the smallest room and had enough room. My husband is 6 foot 2 inches and big boned. It was very comfortable. The fixtures are new. The bathroom looks new. Fresh paint everywhere. The mahogany floors on the first floor is stunning. Nicely decorated. The staff is friendly and super helpful. They made our stay very pleasant. Very clean. the room had a small fridge. The microwave was in the hallway for all the guests to use. It is in a good location, near restaurants, shops, markets and the pier.

Delightful!

A delightful place to stay! Certainly not your usual big hotel chain, Floriana is friendly, relaxed and caring. Yes, the windows open and the breeze from the ocean is fresh. Very comfortable beds and some nice touches. The photos on the web site are accurate. The restaurant is something special! Relaxed dining with excellent service and outstanding cuisine. We have stayed at Floriana twice recently and are looking forward to our third stay. Thoroughly recommended.

What a charming small hotel, beautifully located on the Esplanade, easy walking distance to city center and harbour. The staff, Luca and Stephanie, are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Quality of food in the restaurant was remarkably delicious, with a varied menu. I wound up eating in the restaurant repeatedly, sampling different dishes. The chopped crab salad and lamb ragu were amazing

Nice place to bed down along Cairnes’ Esplanade

Upon arrival I was pleased with my room size. I did notice a strong odor that at first I thought was the floor wax (nice floors) but it was room deodorizer that was way too strong - I prefer a clean small. Nice small pool. Parking is street parking for the property. An ill place shelf blocks the curtains from being fully closed. Food from on site cafe was very good.
