The bungalow was private and you can see toucans in your back yard. Isabella is amazing, she helped me order food for delivery in the rain, she helped organize excursions, she helped with bike rentals/organized tuk tuks, and recommended things to do around town/best sunsets. Anytime I am in Puerto Viejo I will stay at Villa Roca de Caribe for sure.

I put this off but it needs to be done. I booked this home because it was the nicest/cleanest in the area. It is a beautiful home, clean, spacious, a private pool and very comfortable accommodations. On the down side, unfortunately, there is a lot. 1st location, it is secluded not in a good way. I traveled for 3 weeks all over CR and this is the only place I felt uncomfortable and borderline unsafe. Clearly the Caribbean side is not for me. I found the surrounding areas to be much dirtier than the rest of CR. The roads were worse, darker and harder to find your way on. If you want a wild jungle experience then this might be for you. Booked 5 nights but left after 2, would rather lose my money and book somewhere else. I realize we are in the jungle but I still would expect a home like this to take extra precautions for bugs but they don’t. My sister woke up in the master bed covered in ants, no food, no reason to attract them also killed a giant scorpion in the master. Again, jungle understood but most places spray heavily and we had no major bug issues the rest of our 3 weeks in the 8 other homes we stayed in during that time. 2nd, howler monkeys screaming 5am with very distinct and aggressive sounding howls right outside the house. 3rd MANDATORY 1hr daily housekeeping that wasn’t disclosed until after the booking was done & not refundable. Thought cleaner was done/left but she returned and accidentally entered the restroom while I was in there. Loved CR, but not this place.

Buena atención por parte de Gabriel, siempre disponible. Sin problema para recibir mascotas. La casa cuenta con una buena zona verde. Solo falta colocar un tramo muy pequeño de cerramiento entre las dos casas, para que los perros no se pasen a la otra propiedad. Bien la limpieza general de la casa. En los artículos de cocina, si es necesario un aseo profundo en algunos. Buena asolación en la piscina.
