Overall great property very convenient to visit caceres super beautiful city. Staff super attentive great breakfast. Room was fine (not superb) but for the price very satisfied. On the downside, few spaces for sitting to work or else, there is one fairly small library/lounge not enough for the property size. Summer time with high temperatures pool should be open until sunset (10pm) it closes at 8pm. Recommended!!!

Oasis in the Desert

This hotel is like an oasis in the desert. The location is spectacular and there are plenty of walks to go on with the dogs. The staff are ultra friendly and the facilities are second to none. We have been coming here for many years and it has never disappointed us. They opened the outside swimming pool while we were there and that was an added bonus

Our favourite hotel in Spain

One of our favourite hotels in Spain. Stayed many times now. Convenient location. Peaceful and relaxing. Complimentary Spa available to guests. Friendly staff and atmosphere of the hotel. Highly recommended. Dog friendly which is how we found the hotel initially in our search If visiting in summer take in the sunset from the pool restaurant and watch the cranes return to their nests. Not just a hotel, but an oasis! After an overnight flight and then a 3+ hour drive from Madrid airport, Hotel Hospes de Palacio Arenales & Spa was just what we needed. We luxuriated by the pool and were fortified with snacks and drinks at the pool bar. We also booked an hour in the spa, which was refreshing. The staff was unfailingly polite and helpful. The only negative was that there was a Saturday night wedding, and we could hear some of the guests noisily tromping through the hallways at 2am.

A great experience.

The hotel has a delightful ambience. Set in open country with livestock and storks for company it provides a lovely retreat from the close, but not heard, north/south motorway. We chose it for its convenience as a stop over journeying south through Spain. Dinner was a treat and the breakfast offered a wide choice to suit all tastes and including such things as branded cereals with cooked options too which isn't always the case in Spain. The bacon and eggs were really tasty. Would definitly visit again.
