The hotel is full of character, creaky floor boards and all. Comfortable beds and nice bathroom. Breakfast was good. Excellent parking outside the hotel. We had evening meal at their sister hotel The Crescent just around the corner which was excellent. It was our second visit to The Old Hall great value for money.

The location is fantastic for Buxton Opera House. The hotel is old and quirky. Our room was nice. It had both a shower and a bath. The breakfast was good and staff were helpful when we couldn't get our TV working.

This over five hundred years old hotel is an interesting place. Wonky floors creaking everywhere (we’d all be creaking long before five hundred years old) Going up a slight slope to the bathroom is novel. Breakfast is very good. Comfortable beds. Great location.

There was a mixup with the rooms when we checked in and they changed our rooms to something simple which was great. A very higgeldy piggeldy hotel layout but it worked out in the end. Breakfast was fine. But not enough staff on hand.
