Very comfortable overnight stay prior our journey to Manchester Airport a typical farmhouse B&B comfortable in our room and nice.. comfortable bed , good attention to detail was there.
Lovely bed and breakfast, spacious room and great bathroom facilities. The owner was very knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. Thank you, we will definitely be staying again!
We had a wonderful stay at Hawthorne. The room was beautifully decorated, very comfy bed and great facilities. The farmhouse is well located with a short walk into the centre of Buxton. We had a delicious cooked breakfast in the morning too. It was a real treat and we’d definitely recommend and visit again.
Lovely room, perfect for relaxing after a day out walking. Chosen because it was dog friendly and it did not disappoint - good for walking into town and loved that there was a map showing us how to get there by avoiding the main road. Breakfasts were delicious! Thank you for our stay.
Paul was super welcoming and very attentive. The breakfast were awesome, fantastic range. Room was clean, tidy and well appointed. Location worked really well for us.
Was such a joy to stay here. Conveniently located for the Peak District, Hawthorn Farm is a charming place. Our room felt so homely, the hosts Paul and Sarah were lovely and breakfast excellent. The oatcakes are a must try!
We had such a better quality, personal experience here at Hawthorn Farm compared to the impersonal chain corporate hotels we’ve stayed at. Would definitely come back next time we visit the area.
Stopped here on way up to York. Wish we’d had a longer stay. Beautiful farmhouse which is a listed building. Owners were friendly and welcoming. Delicious cooked breakfast and comfortable room. Plenty of parking on site. Walking distance from town
We had a lovely 1 night stay as part of a 3 day walking trip. The host made sure someone was in to welcome us when we arrived and converted the twin to a double for our convenience. He gave us an extensive list of places to eat and enjoyed the short walk to town to find an evening meal. Breakfast was hearty and delicious and we enjoyed some chat with the hosts while we readied ourselves for a day on the trails. A really lovely stay
Every now-and-then you find a place that is special...and this was it. A cosy room with lovely decor and amenities; a fantastic shower to relax you; very convenient parking; a delicious breakfast with the best fruit platter we have ever been offered; excellent, friendly service from the owners who are determined to help you have the best stay possible. Buxton is a 20 minute walk away or 2 minutes by car.
Nice property. Not too far from Buxton to walk in. Excellent hosts. Helped us to our room with our bags. Excellent breakfast. Lots of options. Vegan as well. Couldn't do enough for you.
Enjoyed a lovely overnight stay at Hawthorn Farm. Paul and Sarah are great hosts and were very welcoming. The room we stayed in was cosy and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Paul was really knowledgeable about the local area pointing out places to eat and drink. I have a gluten allergy and Paul ensured that they catered for this with minimal fuss. The cooked breakfast was excellent! This is a lovely place to stay with friendly hosts who go the extra mile to ensure guests are happy. Would definitely stay again if we visit the area and highly recommend to friends and family.

The location was not what we expected. While it may have been a farm once it was on a busy road in the not so good part Buxton. It was a bit disconcerting that when we checked in we could see into the owner’s quarters and they were not very tidy, which while our room was clean, it gave an initial poor impression. The breakfast was excellent and our hosts were very nice and friendly.
A quaint place stay with an amazing couple that runs the guest house. everything was excellent including breakfast in the morning. A must stay when visiting the area.
