The rooms on the 9th floor had a strong odor and it was not very pleasant. Maybe rooms facing the ocean side will be better. Our rooms faced the street side across from Busan bakery. It was difficult to find a room option for Shilla Stay on Expedia which fully met our needs so we opted for the one which closest fit our wish for sea views. There’s something about waking up to the sight of the sea and the views from the room did not disappoint. We had a lovely stay! There’s a telephone based queuing system for check in which did not accept uk numbers. Thankfully, one of the staff stepped in quickly.

Staff was good. Room temperature is permanently set at 27.5C/81F. You cannot change it and the only way to cool the room is to open the window which make the room noisy View was great

Staff was courteous. View was really nice, but there were previous stains in the couch from who knows what that made me not want to sit there and the room was way too hot. It was always 29-31.5 degrees C in there and they said it couldn’t be changed so they offered a portable fan
