We didn’t get off to the best start as arrived to find a notice on the pub door to say that there was no power and pub was shut! Had to call a number to book in, young man arrived and assured us that our rooms were unaffected and that breakfast would be provided in the morning. Room clean and comfortable, major plus was good sized bath towels. Breakfast was indeed provided, full English cooked fresh to order, Kevin was lovely. Only complaint is that we weren’t forewarned about the pub being closed.

Parking was a squeeze - We found a space but it was tight. In room 108 the step down into the bathroom was a surprise and a little awkward but we managed to stay upright! The staff, service and meals were all excellent. We hope to stay again when we're next in the area.
