The Chantry is a very special jewel in Bury’s crown. It is a very well kept hotel in a great location with very considerate attention to detail. The owners and staff could not be more helpful and the breakfasts are delicious. Staying at The Chantry is always a real treat!

Second time I have stayed at Chantry House. Once again, a lovely stay. Very comfortable sized room. Always very clean and has a homely feel. Breakfast selection is excellent as is the breakfast itself. Highly recommended.

Best most comfortable hotel in central Bury

This is my go to hotel for staying in Bury St Edmunds. The rooms are always excellent and individual, clean and well stocked with coffee etc. the beds are amazingly comfortable. The freshly cooked breakfast is great, and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. Free off road parking is a great bonus and the hotel is a few minutes from the centre of the historic centre and the cathedral and abbey gardens. Can’t recommend this place enough!

We liked the location as it was very close to the centre. It was a quiet location which is good for a sound sleep. Easy parking. Comfortable mattress and bedding. All round friendly and helpful service. Delicious breakfast.
