The staff was incredible, best service we had in our time in Belize. From the wait staff to the drivers and guides, top notch! Rooms were nice and very large. And the grounds we're gorgeous with many iguanas feeding and sunbathing during the day.

This was the perfect place to stay on our first night in Belize. It is only a short drive and pick up from the airport is offered. The location is quiet and right on the river. The rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. The food is really good. We took a morning boat ride with Edmund and saw 30 bird species. Highly recommend this location.

We had a great stay at the Black Orchid. The staff was wonderful and the food at the restaurant was so good! It’s an older property but was clean and well kept. The only complaint is the bathrooms are old and not updated so feeling grungy.

The resort is seclusive next to a river. Nicely layout with many rooms facing the river. Staff is very friendly, facility is nice and clean. Food quality of the onsite restaurant is good but pricy.

Very good service and very good food. Lovely location along the river and some 15 minutes to the airport. The Reception manager was very kind to allow us to remain in the same room for two different reservations. Very active howler monkeys and mosquitoes are around!

I had a great time here, my last night in Belize-about 20 minutes from the airport-making it a great stop/start point. Nice rooms and pool,along the river. Great staff,great bartender and food. Very courteous, helpful staff, Edmon was the best. Definitely return here.

They set up a trip to Tikal that was very well coordinated. Did not have to deal with Guatemala officials, the two guides we had drove and then toured us through Tikal with a wealth of knowledge. Thanks!

We only stayed one night before flying home but we found all the staff so friendly and helpful. Service was amazing. Our room very comfortable and very clean. Pick up from our local flight at the airport was so smooth as well as the return trip. The office was so accomodating before and after arrival. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. Food at the restaurant and staff were very good Only regret was that we didnt have time to go on their 2 hour river cruise ( I believe they offer a day and night one!)

We had a lovely stay at The Black Orchid. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location by the river is very nice and you can hear and see monkeys at the property. There isn’t much walkable nearby. The Iguana Stop next door is excellent. Beyond that there isn’t much in Burrell Boom. The hotel will provide a shuttle to other locations, at an additional cost. There are no bicycles or canoes.

Honestly nice people Good food I can hear into my neighbours unit I don’t like that I was told about the tax charge when I was leaving I didn’t know it was it posted to pay extra for it to be 60 US for a to a 20 minute ride to the airport

The staff were wonderful and its a wonderful setting with beautiful scenery but there were no real options for vegan or vegetarians. The beds had plastic sheets underneath and the screens on the windows didn't really work. The bathrooms could have been a bit bigger or modern.

We loved our stay here for two nights. It was peaceful, quiet, and very laid back. The pool was refreshing and quite. Pool side cocktails were great! Our room as rather large and river front. Super nice! We spent a lot of time with Edmund, and he was absolutely wonderful. He gave us a tour to the Baboon Sanctuary. He is local and very knowledgeable. He was also our shuttle driver from Belize City and back to the airport when we left. Our waitstaff was amazing as well. We celebrated our 3rd anniversary here and they made it extra special. The food was really tasty. We even had Howler Monkey's on property one night. Super fun.
