Room was comfortable and fairly quiet. They are in the process of renovating the motel, which was needed, so some cosmetic details are unfinished. This did not detract from our stay and we will return on our next trip thru the area in late summer. The room rate was unbeatable.

The Silver Spur is undergoing renovations and looks a little rough on the outside. However, Inside the room all was excellent. Plenty of hot water for bathing, refrigerator, microwave, comfy beds and lovely crisp bed linen. The room was quiet and we slept well. We'll return.

Let's be fair. This was the least expensive place we've stayed on this trip, and because it was so cheap it provided good value for money. The insides of the rooms were fine. Clean and comfortable. Everything worked. Walls were a little thin, but it wasn't a problem. Neighbors turned off their TV at a reasonable time.

Love the patio. Smoking could be restricted to that area or somewhere else? Our open window took in cigarette smoke in the hallways. :( Good to see the ongoing improvements- nice neighborhood and worthy!

This is a property that has been allowed to get run down and is trying to update. Room was simple but clean. Could use bedside tables. The gal at the desk was very pleasant and helpful.

Hotel was cozy on a cold winter night. Last year about the same time of year I stayed here. Things have improved at least in the room I occupied. Now provide soap, shampoo and drinking cup. Also the towels were new.

If you're looking for a place to just sleep, it will do. There was a queen sized bed, an old wooden desk with an old wood chair that matched the desk and a flat screen TV on the desk. It would have been nice to have a somewhat comfortable chair in the room. The wooden chair didn't cut it. There was an old nightstand next to the bed with a lamp on it. I grew up in this town, the last time I stayed there was 1988 for my 10 year reunion. I'm pretty sure the mattresses haven't been replaced for many years. It looks like they have been renovating for a long long time. If the owner could put some money in to this place, it has potential. That being said, it would take a lot of money. The manager was very friendly. I love my home town and the people that live there. Like I said, if you're just looking for a fairly inexpensive place to lye your head down for the night, it will do. I couldn't even find an ice machine. I stayed three nights. I thought about checking out after the first night. I stayed because it was clean and I don't need all the frills. An ice machine would have been nice. I'm sorry for the blunt review, but I call them like I see them.

Lived the room/bed separation so your not sleeping right next to your traveling companion or kids.. room is L shaped so one bed on each point of the L with bathroom in the bend. Bathrooms were very nicely remodeled as were rooms well maintained... No breakfast but their is a Keurig coffee pot in the lobby when it's open.. booked on Expedia but when I got to motel room was actually cheaper than Expedia booked for. Blankets on the bed are super soft and comfortable.. top being a feather down comforter then a soft fuzzy blanket followed by a sheet. Bedding was really nice with the ice/snowy weather that we experienced while we were there... Definitely would stay again and recommend to people passing through.
