Easy to find and navigate around, parking made life easier! The room was simple yet perfect and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Only downside would have to be the noise, could hear other guests easily.

Friendly staff. Large, clean room with bath in bathroom. On-site pub/restaurant. A bedside table for both sides of double bed would have been better, not just one side. Free parking at rear of hotel.

Rooms not ready on time, although manager got it ready in 30mins. Room not cleaned properly (dirt on floor, food crumbs on table). Very limited parking, had to wait in car park for a vehicle to leave eventually. Power tripped out twice in the room.

I have stayed here several times and it is pleasing to see renovations taking place, although they are yet to be finished. My room had no easy chair (to come I understand), taps were not marked, I had to play with the new toilet cistern to stop it flushing, and I would prefer a walk in shower to the current situation of a shower over the bath (difficult for a septuagenarian. Optioning some rooms to this configuration should be possible. There was no client information in the room about the restaurant, the new TV (excellent), etc. Room coffee needs upgrading to bags, the old 'instant sache' freeze dried doesn't do it anymore.

Perfectly adequate as a base

Great location in Burnie. Lovely licensed bistro and Maccas easy for brekkie. Good parking. Hotel has been somewhat renovated with double glazing so the Port noise is hardly discernible. Corridor doors need work as there were some very noisy port workers coming in late. On site laundry was a bonus. Staff lovely.

Have stayed here 3 or 4 times and find it very pleasant, comfortable, convenient and affordable. Some noise on the port-facing side from trucks and machines working through the night on the dock. Better to stay on the town facing side.
