Love this spot with the great views of the lake. Great for exploration with the different state parks near by. Tons of deer to see. Wish the fish were there but can only do so much on land without live bait from local shops.

Safe quiet, clean Beautiful area to enjoy every morning and every evening. I enjoyed my stay there. I’m looking forward to coming back and maybe trying the tiny house that’s on the property. Painted Sky Views!

A great place to stay for the weekend. Comfortable beds, great views of the sunset, swim just feet from your back door, underwater lit fishing deck where the fish are practically jumping from the water!

This is my second visit to Pained Sky Inn on Lake Buchanan. The location is perfect for my Kayaks. The views and sunsets are amazing here. Easy contactless check-in and great communication via text. The grounds are well kept, and I like that it’s gated with code only access.

Really enjoyed our stay here! Reserved two rooms . Both were extremely clean ! Super quiet. Gated property . Kitchen area was nicely stocked with the utensils we needed . Staff was very attentive and asked if we were enjoying our stay. Beautiful scenery right off the back porch of room . Would definitely stay here again.

Exactly what we were looking for! We loved our stay at Painted Sky. The room was comfortable and clean. The kitchen had all that we needed in order to cook a meal and enjoy while gazing out at the sunset over the lake. Deer wandering the neighborhood make for an enchanting atmosphere. We liked that it was a scenic 20 minute drive from town, but some may prefer a property closer to restaurants and shopping. We explored the area during the day and enjoyed the view in the mornings and evenings. Quiet, peaceful, quaint... just a very relaxing getaway.

I needed the peace and quite that the location offered. The only drawback was the drive from the main road to the venue. It was a little nerve wracking with the skinny 2 lanes and the weather. I would revisit in better weather to take advantage of the water activities offered.

Gated for guests only. Right on Lake Buchanan. Deer all over the property. Nice thick green grass in front and plenty of chairs, benches and hammocks under the trees. Well maintained property. Rooms are spotless and kitchen stocked with the essentials. Had a Keurig and regular coffee pot. Will definitely stay again.

The property was beautiful. It was very peaceful and quiet which is exactly what we needed. We really liked the fact that we can fish right off the dock. The room was comfortable and clean. We will be back! The only downside is the restroom by the doc was locked so we had to go to our room every time we needed to use the restroom. I definitely highly recommend this place

Nice couples getaway

We were here during the off-season and nearly had the place to ourselves. Touchless check-in process. Everything was done by email and text, which turned out to be quite convenient. The room was essentially a connected bungalow that backed right up to Buchannan Lake. Seeing the sunsets here sure explains why they call this Painted Sky Inn. We had a very nice and relaxing stay. Though located well off the beaten path, it was not at all inconvenient to Hill Country attractions. We will definitely consider staying here again.

The view is good. The room is ok. The bathroom faucet is not working, seems clogged. It has stove and full sized refrigerator (much appreciated). The water taste quite bad, it would be nice to provide a few free bottle of water. Not sure if there are vending machine for water. The lake is seriously low, surprisingly lots of catfish tho. But i didnt come for catfish… Overall, it was a good stay! Especially if the water not so low.
