We ALWAYS stat at Americinn in burlington iowa. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The accept dogs under 30lbs is believe for a fee. I love staying here and will continue when my family needs a hotel.

The pillows were brown and disgusting. The staff was very nice, especially the staff the day I came in. I started having difficulty breathing in the room. I came with a small 2 pound Yorkie, who is hypoallergenic but the room the smell was masked, but it smelled very heavy of dog. There was a lot of smoking by the back door, so the room also reeked of cigarette smoke. The staff also did a good job with breakfast.

Hotel was so dirty and gross. Spider on the bed, a dirty sock found under the bed. Beds were old and very uncomfortable especially the sofa sleeper. It slopped down towards the head and you could feel every spring. Night-time receptionist was unfriendly and lazy when asked for pool towels and accommodation questions. Continental breakfast was fine and the associate was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful, one gal tried to make the sofa sleeper better by adding a mattress topper. Still very uncomfortable but a little better. Parking was good.

Its pretty obvious this property has fallen behind on its list of maintenance items as both rooms we booked had multiple items needing repair. Cleaning was not very good either. On a positive note, the breakfast was good. And the swimming pool was ok.. although the hot tub was unavailable, covered with a tarp..

We stayed for 5 days, 6 nights, on a trip to visit family in the area. Our room was clean, and the towels were a good size and fluffy. The hot tub was out of service, but we enjoyed the pool daily. A nice variety of food for breakfast, including biscuits and gravy, sausage, and eggs. Pet friendly, there were several guests with dogs, with a good amount of grassy areas and safe walking paths. There were quite a few families with children staying, and they have connecting rooms which is great for families with more children, but our room was still very quiet, we couldn't hear noises from the hallway or other rooms. The staff were all polite and accommodating, and very patient with my daughter asking them all a million questions. We would definitely stay again.

Trash on the dirty carpet, hvac control buttons didn’t work, 2 crawling insects, tank cover for toilet made it difficult to flush. Breakfast was surprisingly good with a large selection to include scrambled eggs and sausage links. Shopping mall in the same parking lot many store fronts closed. Good quality movie theater.
