This is one of the many popular towns in the Cotswolds. We actually stumbled upon it looking for somewhere else. There are lots of eateries and tourist shops midst the plethora of sandstone buildings and you won't be the only tourist there!
Part of the ornate tomb of the Tanfields in St John the Baptist church, Burford. Sir Lawrence, a prominent lawyer and politician died in 1625 and his wife, Elizabeth, in 1629.

Burford is jammed with visitors during the day even mid-week in mid-May. It's still fun to stroll the High Street and the side lanes and to visit the impressive church.
