It was cozy for our family of 7. The pool DOES NOT work. The Suana isn't working properly and the hot tub is questionable. The family cottage was nice. It was clean, the beds were comfy. Coffee, microwave, table and chairs were provided. Nice view from #306. Would stay again.

We stayed at this hotel over the 4th of July weekend. We are so grateful to have found this place! It was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Our 2 dogs were welcomed with a low nightly pet fee! The hot tub was amazing. We will definitely be back!

We had a such a great time at the Salida Inn & Monarch Suites. The staff were very friendly & welcoming, in fact they went above & beyond to ensure we were satisfied with our stay. There's a free breakfast in the morning with a nice assortment of snacks & beverages. The property looks slightly rough on the outside, but the suite we enjoyed was one of the most spacious rooms I've experienced and was remodeled/updates. There's sufficient free parking and the hot tub in the rear was a highlight of an amenity. The location was right on the main thoroughfare Hwy 50/Rainbow Blvd. and a short 10 min. or less drive to the downtown Salida restaurants. Overall, for the value and location, highly recommended. We would visit again.

Loved this place! We stayed in a king bed cabin and it was a great room. They didn’t have anything super exciting for breakfast, looked like just cereals, pastries and bagels. Salida is a very small town and everything closes extremely early. If that’s okay with you, or if you have to stay in Salida for something, this is a good option. The only other con for me is they offer free early check in/late check out to those who book on their personal website, but you have to pay $15/hr if you book through a 3rd party site. I wish I had known this and I’m not sure what else I paid for because I booked on a 3rd party site. Compare their website with others and make sure all the fine print is okay with you before booking is my suggestion!

Overall, our stay at Salida Inn was decent. There aren't many lodging options in Salida, and this motel is conveniently located and reasonably priced. We appreciated that it accommodated our family of four with two queen beds and a pullout sofa. The A/C worked great, and having a mini fridge, microwave, liquid hand soap, plus complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion was a nice touch. Unfortunately, there were a few downsides. The pool was closed during our stay, and the front office was rarely staffed. We tried several times to get clean towels, but the office was always locked, so our family had to use the same four bath towels for an entire week. The room could also use better upkeep. The carpets felt dirty enough that I didn't want to walk barefoot, and they could use a deep cleaning. My biggest concern was what appeared to be blood splatter on the ceiling above the bathroom sink. It should have been cleaned or painted over before the room was rented. Overall, this is an affordable, centrally located place to stay, but housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk availability need improvement.
