Beautiful historic hotel in a perfect location. Plenty of great restaurants and shops within walking distance. The rooms are very clean, beds are comfortable. There is no front desk, so it’s more of an air’b’n’b experience.

In town for Christmas, as our sons live in Salida. We skied Monarch and enjoyed all of the fantastic restaurants in Salida. We’ve stayed at the Manhattan hotel the past few winters. Can’t beat overlooking the Arkansas River and S Mountain.

The property is as vey nice, clean, easy to engage the check in process. The balcony overlooking the river, *chef’s kiss*! The location was perfect for, and selected for, being able to walk around the main part of downtown. Easy access to shopping and dining. The ONLY real detractor, for us mind you, was that very proximity. The nightlife was vibrant and, well, loud. If you’re into that sort of scene this would be perfect for you. If you go to bed at 9p like us, something to consider. All in all a great place to stay in a great little mountain town.
