Great stay

Excellent place to stay if visiting Buckfast Abbey or Dartmoor. Very friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and quiet. Lovely double shower.

A lovely place to stay to explore the surrounding areas. Staff were helpful and pleasant and thr rooms comfortable with very good showers. The breakfast was plentiful, with a good choice and dinner options were tasty, large portions and value for money.

Lovely one night stay.

We enjoyed being at Northgate Hotel, The bed was very comfortable & the standard of every thing was high. The food was excellent. Lovely unusual layout of hotel & grounds & very peaceful & relaxing. Would recommend it.

Modern, comfortable hotel situated in a beautiful

The hotel is modern, very comfortable with good sized bedrooms. Everywhere very clean. All the staff very friendly and helpful. Wonderful location next to Buckfast Abbey and you are to to explore its grounds. If you are staying on a Sunday we would recommend the carvery lunch at the Granary. Just off the A38 if you are looking for a stopover en route to Cornwall.

Stayed for one night, room was spacious and clean, though it was very warm (even with radiators turned off). Bed was ok but could do with better pillows (one is way too flat, two way too much). Overall it’s a hood place, and might consider stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and there was nothing to fault here. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and gluten free options outstanding. We would recommend dining in. The room was extremely comfortable and well designed with the easiest shower system we have come across. The whole atmosphere of the hotel and surrounding area was peaceful. We didn’t want to leave!

Stunning location within the grounds of Buckfastleigh Abbey. Complete tranquility with the exception of the bells of the Abbey ringing. The hotel restaurant was superb. Accessibility for wheelchair users was exceptional. All staff were kind and courteous - nothing was too much trouble! Smooth surfaces (including the car park) made wheelchair use easy and comfortable. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and well equipped. Cannot think of any negatives, and well most definitely be returning in the future.
