the Inn is a classic old resort ...good service and interesting suroundings. Lots to do....with an environmentally protected island to explore. only drawback was only one expensive breakfast option.

The restaurants that are at the motel are awesome. Especially for breakfast! I had shrimp and grits and it was amazing 😊

I liked the comfortable feel of the property. I did not like the staff much. They don't have welcoming personalities. They weren't rude but I didn't feel welcomed by them.

Even though I arrived a bit early, the receptionist did her best to get me a room. The rooms at this hotel are always pristine. Beautiful and comfortable grounds. Great place to relax, to read, to sleep. A great place to get away for a bit.

Our room was a suite on the 4th floor of a building with no elevator. Went looking for our room and we couldnt locate it after climbing to the 4th floor. Went back to the front desk and was told we had to enter through the 3rd floor. When we finally got to our room the AC was not working and were told it should be back on after

Elegant Southern Inn

Beautiful antique elegant old southern inn. Beautifully restored. New bathrooms, great mattresses and high count linens. Nice pool and all kinds of interesting antique houses on the campus. Probably the best place for bike trails anywhere on the whole east coast. Curvy, paved canopy trails many along/near the beaches. A few small group bike tour companies were staying there.
