Booked the Hanbury turn as we had family wedding
Was really pleased with Hanbury turn was very helpful as we need to book in early the the manager called me back to say we could on arrival the staff were very friendly and made you very welcome was shown to room was clean and very bright on returning from our family wedding had really lovely night sleep will definitely been returning
I stayed at The Hanbury Turn for two days whilst working in the area. Staff really friendly, very clean rooms, great pub with a good choice of beers. Will definitely be staying there again.
We only had one night to stay here attending a nearby wedding - but LOVED it at Hanbury and are thankful to the amazing staff. It was a nice, clean room with everything we needed. Plus, the rooms are right above the pub so it's a fun place to stay - while still quiet and relaxing in the room.
This place never disappoints in any way I have stayed here for the last 12 months the rooms are excellent and the bar and the hospitality of the all the staff is second to none
We booked this as an overnight break on a long journey. We thought from the info it did breakfast, so I wrote to ask the times and got no reply either through Hotels.com chat, or direct email to the pub. We also thought it did evening food as listed. When we got there it did neither, so we ended up at another pub a short walk away and getting up to find a Greggs or a shop in the morning before our onward journey. Disappointing and incorrect information.
The room was clean and functional. Very light curtains and traffic noise means eyepatches and earplugs are needed. Our stay was in the hot weather and they had a problem with the landing radiators stuck on which added to the discomfort. If all you need is a bed, its adequate, but we wouldn't stay again, and sadly wouldnt recommend it.
After a long motorbike trip from Plymouth to Harrogate my husband stayed here for a night half way he said it was an absolute gem and loved his room and bathroom. The pub was welcoming and friendly and had a food truck too.
Great location, easy to find, lots of parking available, superb accommodation, quiet and very clean. Quiz night - Tuesday, brilliant. Paid for wonderful breakfast. Fantastic choice of real ales.
Comfortable room. warm welcome. there is no restaurant so you have to travel to eat. You can get breakfast there but only in very limited time slot (9am - 10am)
