We put drinks on room during day time; then were charged for all of them on dinner receipt (therefore we were charged service charge on daytime bar drinks). Bizarre given we had added card to room for that exact purpose (I didn’t want to have a card allocated to room, but was told it wasn’t optional, then had bill presented at dinner anyway). “The majority of the staff were helpful, friendly and polite apart from one member of the bar staff that was serving on the day we arrived- she was very abrupt and rude to the customers she was serving who hadn't been to the pub before and not aware there was two outside seating areas. Room was clean & tidy, the drains smelt a bit in the shower but I think that's an issue due to the age of the property. Would visit again”

“Room and bathroom clean and spacious. Bar and food good. Staff friendly. Buses outside to nearby villages. Train station 5 mins which was really useful for getting around and local shop, pub and cafe 5 mins. Social club 5 mins. Great band and friendly people. Car parking at rear. Beach 10 mins.”

“Its a quirky building and we had to duck a couple of times. The room was clean and comfy with all the amenities required. The restaurant offered a good selection and did cater for Gluten Free. We ended up having a very enjoyable 3 courses with drinks. The complementary breakfast was delicious too. All the staff we interacted with were polite and lovely but the star was Zoe. She showed us to our room, made sure we had a table near a breeze in the restaurant. Made recommendations and was so...
