Disliked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
Location was convenient to restaurants, bars and entertainment, but not very safe (lots of people around affect by drugs and alcohol). Pool was pleasant, but not particularly clean, and bridge over smaller pool was closed off for repair. Most buildings in block are in need of a fresh coat of external paint. Apartment would have been pleasant enough if better managed. Floors and lounge were stained and filthy. Crockery cracked and dirty. We reported many maintenance issues during our 3 day stay, including broken microwave stop button and only 2 batteries out of 6 provided between 3 remote controls (2 for air cons and 1 for TV), with no spares to be found. No beach towels provided. No spare towels, linen or blankets. Only 3 tea bags between 2 people for 3 days. Shower was tiny. Terrible communication from property owners (2 overseas companies - Belvilla and MadeComfy). Confusing and inconsistent invoices, terms and threats to cancel booking if you don't verify your ID through their overseas-based online portal in 48 hours! Couldn't check-in until 3 hours later because last guest didn't return key and they didn't have a spare! Comms during this stressful situation were terrible. Communication from Wotif was not great either - they assured me they would email me a copy of my online chat with them, but they never did. When we called about the issues we were having, we got cut off from them and they didn't return our call, despite me having just provided my phone number twice.
