Overall, this is just an ok place to stay to lay your head. Stayed late May for a family member's wedding. I had read the reviews about the hot water and the reply that they were making improvements to the boiler, so we chanced that the improvements were complete. The first shower was essentially unbearable with the water temperature. Second day shower seemed a little warmer and by the third day, it was good. I don't know what is going on there, but if you are looking to warm up with a hot shower, it's a crap shoot. The property has a gorgeous lakefront view, but otherwise, it is dated. Which is fine, but could be upgraded with nicer towels, and better soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. The customer service was essentially zero. We were arriving after office closure and called to ask how to check in and none of the phone numbers we called answered. At check-out there was no one in the office. I called the number and got "hello". Just seems like, if you run a hotel, you would answer the phone with "XYZ Hotel". I know its a very small town, but maybe have a little more professionalism.

Great option in the area

This place was a great base if you're looking to be out and about in the area. It's a pretty straightforward motel, no bells and whistles, but the room interior was very clean, recently spruced up, and comfortable. It was foggy while we were there, but there's a pleasant area and dock to sit and watch the lake during downtime. I also appreciate that the Three Branches bakery and cafe is a short walk away and open at 7am in season, so grabbing a quick bite before heading out for the day was incredibly easy. We will very likely stay here again.
