We stayed in the one bedroom cabin with a kitchen which was very clean. Parking was right next to the cabin which was very convenient because we had a lot of things to unload. It had its own fire pit and bbq area we used to cook our dinner. Staff was very friendly and helpful. He gave us ideas where to fish at.

Virginia Creek Settlement is a one-of-a-kind place in a beautiful, rustic setting. We loved almost everything about our stay—the amenities, the food, our room, and especially the warm, friendly, helpful hosts. Our motel room looked out over a small lawn beside Virginia Creek, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. It has plenty of character without sacrificing comfort and feels very different from a conventional motel. A memorable and thoroughly enjoyable place to stay.

I had such a good stay here. The location is wonderful, excellent access to hiking trails and convenient to Sonora Pass. The restaurant was good, and the staff were so kind and helpful!!

We weren't able to stay long and didn't eat breakfast But we ordered the pizza for dinner this large and it was huge. We ended up heating it on the gas pit and ate it in the morning! The staff are really nice and the location is priceless. Loved it and wish we could have stayed longer.

Great vibe. Many nice touches, such as providing ingredients to roast s'mores outside. The restaurant offers diverse and generous portions of Americana food. Located in a conservative part of California, but is very welcoming for diverse populations. Some highway noise, but easy to hear crickets and the stream from the back deck. We would definitely come back.

The newer buildings are of good value! You are close to many lakes in the surrounding area. The restaurant has a great variety of dishes and in my opinion is a great value. The little river that runs through the side of the island exactly that a little river! So if your thinking your going to fish there ( don’t believe it). The small rooms they advertise

Wonderful stay. 1 night, very clean room, good restaurant, excellent staff. Owner has a fish hatchery on property and donates to local creeks, streams and communities. Shared bathrooms with the cabin I had.

Virginia Creek Settlement is the perfect place to stay while visiting Bodie State Park and Mono Lake. Cabin was cozy with just the right amount of room. The creek runs right by the cabins so bring earplugs if you don’t like “white” noise. We found it soothing. We received a “goodie”bag on check-in. Coffee pods and cups for the coffee maker and supplies for SMores. There is a fire pit next to the cabin. Our cabin had its own bathroom. Smaller cabins share bathroom and showers. The restaurant has a good menu and the service was good.
