The owner Jeff was awesome and helpful. The room was very nice and entire hotel was renovated to a very high and creative standard. Really enjoyed our stay here.
Older hotel with fun history. Room all re-done comfortable beds. Perfect stay for our trip to Bodie. Fun walking around town. Treat yourself and drive to the Virginia Settlement for dining just a few minutes up the road. Food was very good. The places in walking distance for dining were not great
The owner checked us in and told us of some awesome local hot springs to check out. He also pointed us to the best food choices in town. The rooms were restored nicely, very spacious, and clean. The owner even gave us a little tour and talked about some of the building’s history. Very much enjoyed the communal espresso machine, fridge, and back porch. A nice relaxing stop!
This is a fantastic place to stay in Bridgeport. Jeff made everything very easy. The hotel includes a communal balcony and lounge fit for a variety of activities. It also has a tv with dozens of tapes to watch for a nostalgia fix. We will definitely be returning.
Loved staying at this quaint, historic Hotel. Clean, beautifully decorated in a timepiece fashion. Liking stepping back into the old west with class. Easy walk to food and small town shopping. Owners were so kind and helpful. Hope to stay here again soon.

Liked: Property conditions & facilities
Good base for Body, but rustic/basic.
Good: service, comfy bed, historic hotel, close to restaurant.
Not so good: no hangers or hooks for clothes, no desk or easy chair, no TV, closet-sized bath, room faced highway 395 40 feet away, no breakfast, 10 a.m. checkout.
We loved this little hotel! The history was so cool! Simple room with no TV in room...and I'm good with that...common area with fridge and microwave and TV. Host was extremely personable!
Nice old Hotel, which is keeping the spirit of100 years ago.
Verry friendly owner who can give good hints for your stay.
Due to the spirit of the Hotel, rooms are not equipped with TV and fridge
What an interesting place! This is an old hotel, moved from the nearby ghost town. There are a few rooms, each having their own charm. Everything was clean and worked, which is important in an older property. In the back of the upstairs, was a small kitchen with refrigerator and microwave and a coffee maker. There is a room with a tv downstairs. It's a cute, quirky little place. I really enjoyed my stay!
A lovely little Victorian hotel in Bridgeport. The ownersspent a lot of time and money refurbishing it, bringing it up to more modern standards and comfort, without sacrificing it 19th century charm. They are very nice people, very helpful and kind. It's definitely not your usual country motel. It has character and charm.
I have stayed in to other places in Bridgeport in past years. This one I would go to again.
Very old hotel but well maintained and with a lot of history, which we like.
But the airco in our room didn’t work and it was very hot. Wouldn’t be a problem if the windows could open, that made sleeping tough.
Bed was ok, bathroom is cramped. Go visit the Bodie State Historic parc, this is just half an hour away but a must see.
This is an genuinely old building that was relocated nearly 100 years ago to its current location in Bridgeport. The old Victorian wood creaks a bit and you won't find as many outlets in each room as a modern hotel. This authentic piece of history is exactly what we were hoping to find and we're so glad that we stayed here. The feel of this hotel is warm and welcoming, made even more so by "Steve," who greeted us kindly, walked us to our room, chatted with us about the history of the hotel and even offered to help carry my bags.
Conveniently located in the middle of this two block town and close to Bodie Historic State Park. We enjoyed our experience here very much.
The history of the hotel. Recommend a second mirror in the room to allow more than 1 person to get ready when the room accommodates more than 2 people. Need to provide wash clothes for showering (not just a makeup rag). The Keurig and Expresso machines were out of water. A bigger trash can with extra trash bags.
The beds were comfortable and the environment was peaceful.
The owner met us showed us around was totally gracious. We will go back again and highly recommend it to everyone just to experience the friendly atmosphere! Both Jeff and his helper, Steve, were first rate!
The hotel is beautiful and the owners were fantastic. Jeff was so kind and helpful with information and even safely stored our bikes overnight.
This will be our overnight stop from now on when coming through town.
