“We booked a 2 night stay here as a base to take my niece to longleat, which was about 30 mi utes drive. The hotel and grounds were lovely. We had booked a king sized bed, but the allocated room had only a double bed. We complained the following morning, and when we returned that evening our room had been changed and we were offered a complimentary drink and snack each! There were some areas that could do with a little maintenance/attention to details. But all in all we enjoyed our stay here....

“My partner and me stayed during the first horrible heatwave in June, to get some respite in the AC that was featured in the amenities of the property. Not only was there AC in the room, but also in the pub/restaurant area! It was absolutely delightful - we struggled leaving! The staff were so friendly and attentive; nothing was too much trouble. “We went with our children, who are 5 and 2. The family room we stayed at was big and spacious, so was the bathroom. All beds were comfortable, and they even had a cot ready for our 2yo. The children had a blast playing at the large play area while seeing the goats and alpacas. Breakfast was included and it was pretty good. The only downside was that, even though they have wifi, we had no signal in our room, so we could only go online (wifi or otherwise) at the restaurant and common areas.”
