Great food, both dinner and breakfast, and an incredibly friendly staff. Really enjoyed the stay and would recommend it for anybody visiting the Bath area
We had a very comfortable stay at the Kings Arms. A lovely old inn in a pretty village near Bath. Friendly staff, comfortable room and bed. Dinner and breakfast were excellent.
Amazing. The food was delicious, both dinner and breakfast. The room was lean, comfortable, roomy. Everything was beyond expectations. The staff weee friendly and helpful. Overall, a wonderful place to stay, especially if visiting Bath, as we were. Highly recommend.
This hotel is lovely. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our room ‘The Kings Room’ was huge and very comfortable with all amenities including a cafetière with good coffee provided.
We had an excellent evening meal. The menu was limited but the crispy pork belly starter, the duck and the lamb were beautifully cooked and served.
Sadly, we had to leave early as I had a small accident and the weather was very poor which prevented any visiting nearby towns. We had planned to eat at the hotel a second night as it as so good. We will certainly return if looking for a place to stay near to Bath.
We stayed in the Kings Room which was fantastic for a family of 4. Bedroom area itself was spacious and very comfortable, with an excellent selection of teas and coffees. The bathroom was spacious again, the roll top bath was great for the kids and the shower was also very good. There is a small "living room" area as you enter which is great for young families as there is a sofa and tv there, so when the kids are asleep there is somewhere for mum and dad to sit and watch TV. The location is great, very picturesque with lovely views of the farmland around. The staff were very friendly and we had a fantastic dinner the night we stayed and breakfast the next morning.
10/10 we would certainly stay here again when in the area and have already recommended to friends and family.
Overall good. Service very friendly! Only let down by the promised sandwiches in lieu of breakfast did not appear at 7.30 as promised (twice!). When went to pick up these the pub was totally locked up and deserted! Waited 15 mins. Same result. Although I missed breakfast totally due to wasted time and early appointment this was made slightly better by pubs offer to refund my breakfast costs. Otherwise all good
The location was perfect, the property beautiful , staff absolutely wonderful. Rooms were beautiful. Cocktails delicious. We came on a girls trip. I will be back with my family and children!
The room was large with a wonderfully comfortable bed. The bathroom had both a bath and separate shower . The food was tasty and well presented. The hotel is in a quiet village which was ideal for the type of stay we wanted.
Excellent large room with huge king size bed, beautifully kept with luxurious bathroom in this lovely old pub. The location is off the beat and track and so quiet.
The food in the pub was EXCELLENT and Chris was very welcoming and friendly.
Highly recommended for seclusion, good food and simply an EXCELLENT pub, guest house
I expected a typical village pub. My initial impression was that, an old building, with slightly quirky rooms and a good bar and plenty of space. I went down at 7 pm to find that the only other person in the entire bar was the barman - who was very friendly but I sat in splendid isolation for an hour - eventually, four more people ended up there but very very quiet. The food was excellent - all freshly cooked, with good ingredients and an attention to detail - good beer. My room was comfortable - except that the smoke detector had a bright green light on it that stayed on all night meant I couldn't sleep in the dark. The room was comfortable - shower needed a bit of attention - rusty soap holder and beginnings of black mould in grouting - I left at 8:30 everywhere was locked up and no one had told me that breakfast wasn't included. I doubt I'll stay again, but I'd go back for food and drink.
The property has incredible historical value being an 11th century inn yet is modern and convenient as an accommodation. The staff are lovely; very welcoming and warm. We ate dinner there upon arrival and were delightfully surprised at the quality of the meal - well worth it for the ease of staying on property then being able to toddle up to our rooms after a lovely feast. Bed extremely comfortable and the bathroom very modern with a gorgeous separate bathtub and shower. The towel heating rack actually worked very well, which was a first time in our three-week journey around the UK. The location is perfect - a lovely country road 5 miles from both Bradford-on-Avon and Bath. Would definitely come back.
