The staff were exceptionally helpful. The food was excellent. The Lodge itself where you stay needs some tlc on the outside, although the rooms themselves were good and well maintained, if a little dated. The stairs down to the room where I was weren't that great and the entrance to the steps was blocked by a car, so had to squeeze by. A great place. The golf looked good and the swimming pool was excellent although the stairs down were very slippery.

The big plus is the swimming pool / jacuzzi / steam room and the very well equipped gym. The room was very pleasant and well appointed and the bed very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food and drinks were good. If I had to be critical I would say the buffet breakfast was poor with no pastries or fresh fruit salad, bread for toasting etc. There were cooked breakfast choices from the menu but if you are a continental breakfast type person it wasn't great value. The lodge could do with some sprucing up externally but inside the decor was fresh and well put together with a more individual feel than you get at Premier Inn or Travelodge. The forest like setting was lovely however and we would definitely return if the opportunity presents itself.

Perfect room for the tired golfer. Yards from the 18th hole and a minute's walk to the restaurant and a delicious full English in the morning. Smiling, helpful staff. Clean room, comfy bed, everything in good working order. Will return.

Room was great, the setting, among the trees, is fabulous. The staff were brilliant on reception, offering help with explanation of all the facilities available. The gym, swimming pool and Spa area were top class. It is a great place to stay, just out of the bustle of Bournemouth and only a short walk in.

room was modern & spotless, reception staff were exceptional as were the bar staff. the breakfast was freshly cooked to order and delicious we also had an evening meal which was really good, the pool & hot tub, sauna & steam room were immaculate and great. the changing rooms we spotless & had a swimsuit dryer. its a 20 to 30 min walk to bournemouth town centre & beach. we give the lodge and all the facilities 100% perfect
