No frills place which allows a family of three in a decent clean accomodation with a microwave kitchenette. We stayed in a chalet style room called the works but they do have other just room only options. Parking is plenty and no hassle in that. Don't expect room service and very very high standards as it is a no frills experience. They do cater to housekeeping if asked for and will change towels if you request but don't expect it to be an automatic event. We were pretty happy with the whole experience as most of the time we were outside sightseeing and just needed a place to crash. Beds were just firm and comfy for a good night sleep. Will visit again if I come across this place. The staff at the reception were very helpful.

This hotel was what it says on the tin,a basic,cheap place to lay your head. It wasnt the cleanest,it wasnt the nicest. With a broken bathroom door,air con that didnt work,and peeling wallpaper. But,it had a comfortable bed,a working tv and a kettle which made for a perfect base for our short trip away. I would come again at the price i paid,if it goes up....no I wouldnt return.

Can’t describe how perfect the hotel was , I arrived on Friday night. The night receptionist was really welcoming / polite /nice he wish me happy birthday , we arrived into the room we was shocked how perfect our room was , thank you for decorating the room was amazing birthday , all staff are friendly, very clean hotel, relaxing, amazing location , I would stay again 100/10 service , I can’t describe how perfect the weekend was and how they made us feel…. Hotel was amazing perfect for our needs annd the staff were so lovely. only thing I would add for parents with children booking this hotel or ladies hen party’s that it’s very apparent that 3 hotels very close to this one are housing asylum seekers. Large Groups of men stood outside the hotels drinking alcohol in the day made me a bit un easy to be honest and I wouldn’t feel safe walking alone or in a small group of women in the evening to get back to the hotel. There was also two police cars parked at the end of the road early evening that made me look into things to find out that locals have been protesting over the hotels being used for this and how they are worried people won’t visit the sea side resort . It’s definitely had a different feel than when I visited before not to say all asylum seekers are out to cause harm as most are here for good reason! However when men are stood in large groups drinking and smoking with no women or kids in sight English men or not u need to have your witts about you please don’t be walking home alone drunk or allow your friends to get in taxis back to hotels alone .

Room was clean, staff were helpful and polite, parking was reasonably priced. Breakfast was basic and room was a bit stuffy with limited ventilation. Decent enough hotel. One thing I would mention is the six minutes to the beach is accurate enough. However, coming back that way means hauling yourself up that steep winding cliff path. Advice: Get fit or take the 20 minute detour.

We stayed in the works room. It was very spacious and had a microwave and full size fridge. It was very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. To get a hot shower we had to turn all the taps on and let them run for ages. Once hot though the shower was lovely. The breakfast however was a letdown. No full English only continental. Just cereal or a cheese and pesto panini for vegetarians.

Overall the staff were polite. The room didn't seem that clean tbh with hair in the bath tub and stains all over the carpet, the paint was flaking away and dents on the walls. However the beds were really comfy. Shower took time to warm up, just in general didn't seem like that much care taken for the upkeep, downstairs was lovely. Unfortunately not really enough selection for breakfast even for a continental breakfast. Probably wouldn't be a first choice for us now but it could have been a lot worse, was okay considering we weren't spending much time at the hotel due to a busy schedule.
