The Hotel Salem was WONDERFUL. We came into town for our honeymoon and it was perfect- comfortable beds, good water pressure in the shower, attentive staff, and an awesome rooftop bar with some of the best clam chowder. The location was absolutely perfect for all the sights and was close to all of the best food places. 10/10, we can’t wait to come back!

The hotel staff are awesome and helpful. Hotel is centrally located in the pedestrian section of Essex. MTBA parking is only an 8 minute walk and very inexpensive.

The hotel was decent but there no parking on the property. You have to park in a parking garage which they don’t reimburse you for and walk to the hotel with your bags. It’s very over priced. The only good thing is its location. Staff were kind of rude.

The staff were super nice and friendly! The room is wonderful with a mini fridge and very clean and well maintained. The roof restaurant had amazing food and there is another place to eat in the lobby. Free delicious coffee in the morning. I went in the very beginning of September so it was nice and quiet in the mornings. Couldn't hear any noise from the street in my second floor room. They do not have parking on sight but they are super helpful in helping you find a place to park or be dropped off. Most likely be prepared to pay for parking somewhere.

This was my 5th time staying at Hotel Salem. It is always wonderful. Not only is it in a prime location the staff is so friendly. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. I already can't wait to return.
