It’s more like a self-serviced apartment. I like the location and the modern decor. Place was not cleaned for a number of nights we were there. So more like an Airbnb vs a hotel if you are expecting hotel level house-keeping and cleaning

The room we stayed in was immaculate, well appointed, and comfortable. The hotel is right across from Artisan's Row and was very convenient to pretty much all of the classic Salem activities. It was perfect for our stay.

This property is beautiful. The bed was so incredibly comfortable and we loved our stay! The bathroom was huge and we loved that there were bunk beds for the kids. We wished we could have stayed more than 1 night here! The small kitchen was really nice as well.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Salem, the Courier is the perfect place to stay. It’s a charming boutique hotel with lovely rooms and amenities within walking distance of so much of the historic area of Salem has to offer. Its fully stocked kitchen is perfect if you want to dine in, the bed was so comfortable, and the sheets so soft. My only critique would be the check-in process which was a bit complicated taking longer than expected. The delay prevented us from checking in at 4 PM and lead to a very rushed evening given a previously scheduled tour. In short, it’s a wonderful hotel and I really look forward to staying there again on my next visit to Salem.

I loved the location of this hotel. It was literally steps from everything. Check-in and check-out were convenient, even when our flight was delayed coming in and we left early to go back home. The room itself was wonderful - spacious with amazingly big windows to let in the sunshine. The kitchenette was perfect for us to have breakfast in. And the bathroom was adequate (counter space was a premium). The one issue we had was quickly fixed (an issue with the in-room safe). My only complaint - housekeeping will only refresh towels/take out trash each day. This left us scrambling for toilet paper on the last day.

The Courier staff was so welcoming and helpful. The room was perfect and had everything we needed. We stayed in the bunk bed Suite which had the bunk bed in a safe! It was a lot of fun. The location was great for getting around town.

The Courier Hotel was the perfect spot for our Salem trip! The staff were very welcoming when we arrived as well as our entire stay there. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen even had a dishwasher included. Staying here made the trip so convenient with being able to access Salem within walking distance. We will happily come back again. My only complaint is the room was only cleaned once throughout our week long stay. And when it was eventually cleaned the staff in charge of cleaning the room only changed the bedsheets & towels and cleaned the bathroom, but didn’t throw any of the trash away which was full by then for both the kitchen & bathroom. The rug wasn’t vacuumed either which we noticed was being done to the room across from ours when it was being cleaned. Aside from that, I’ll highly recommend this place to anyone who is able to stay there.

Very spacious rooms and updated decorations. I would have it 5 stars except parking was a block away and they still charge you $25 plus tax which was $32 total. The room was a little dusty and the unit ac was blasting every second. The staff was superb. It’s located on top of businesses and the window view was just traffic.

Honestly the best hotel I’ve been to in my life. I loved the full sized fridge and all the items you could possibly need to cook. Having lamps with the USB-C charging port was also a plus. The Brita filter in the fridge was unexpected but highly appreciated. And the A/C that actually gets to the temp you set it to? Amazing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I’ll be recommending The Courier to any friends or family that are thinking of coming to Salem.
