One of the things that became displeasing was having a double charge on my account. Checked into the facility just before midnight a charge submitted to my account which included a breakage fee. The next morning another charge on my account for my stay minus the breakage charge. When I called customer service, the quick justification is “I only see one charge. I don’t know why your bank charge you twice.” My bank would not put a charge in my account if it was not first initiated by the hotel. Yes the charge gets dropped off. However why should I have to wait 7 days for it to fall off my account? So the hotel needs to more mindful about initiating charges.
