False advertising!
Posted Oct 19, 2023 on HotelsI recently stayed at the Econo Lodge for business. When I reserved this room I was under the impression they offer wi-fi access and free breakfast. This is important so I could get work done in my room and grab a quick breakfast before my workday (both were advertised on the website). When I checked in, there was a note saying they no longer offered breakfast and I could not find wi-fi in my room making it difficult to get any work done. I was also directed to the back of the building to find my room, which turns out was basically outside (like a motel). The pictures on the website were very deceiving and I did not feel totally safe having my room lead to the outdoors without any barriers for non-guests to just walk in. The room overall seemed clean at first except for a smoke scent in parts of my room. The first night I went to take a shower I saw a used bar of soap in the shower and an empty shampoo bottle on the counter suggesting that the bathroom was not wiped down (and made me wonder if the toilet or other parts of the room were even cleaned).The next morning when I left the gentleman at the front desk, who is supposed to be monitoring the doors, was sleeping which made me feel even less safe. I will not be staying here again.

Absolutely the worst place we have seen. We didn’t even stay the night. It was not safe. There was no bolt on the door. The beds had dirt and dead bugs on it. The area was unkept and there were drug paraphernalia laying about. We couldn’t even stay the night we had kids. We were only checked in for MAYBE a hour

Terrible. Looks unsafe. Plexiglass around the office! Dirty. This is clearly not a place for tourists.
