This Doubletree is a new, high-tech, glossy conference hotel in a Danvers office park. Not really our style. However, the rooms and other facilities were great. And Wendy, the front desk staff person, was very professional and patient helping us navigate checkin and parking protocol.

The stay was great. Room was clean and comfortable and there was a pool. The downside was the continental breakfast was $15.00. I literally had yogurt, coffee and an apple. Parking was $10.00 a night. Both were in the description, but they rake you over the coals for more money. The room charges are already expensive enough.

The property is well kept, conveniently located and priced well. The dinner at the restaurant was excellent too. The issue we had was being approached by a salesperson on checking in. When we walked in, a man approached us and told us that we had a free gift and to stop over after we checked in. When we stopped over, he tried to sell us a travel package similar to a time share. We found it very off putting and deceptive to have it pitched as a “free gift”. This is NOT what I am looking for when traveling.
