This was our first B&B and it did not disappoint. Our room was so cute, exactly as the pictures. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. Our room (#3) was large enough for two people, with a small table and chairs. We only stayed one night, but will definitely stay again if we get back to Boston. Joan, the owner, is fabulous. She made us eggs to order to go along with our breakfast items. The property is less than a block from the water which allowed us to have a wonderful walk before breakfast.

Beautiful and quiet oasis. Friendly staff and easy check in process. Restaurants were in walking distance and only 28-30 minute drive to the airport. We were able to ise public transit to arrive and found a local cabbie to take us for departure.

Very quaint and cute bed and breakfast with fun view of the bay and airplanes landing, cute restaurants nearby and super close to the airport. Great price for accommodations near Logan for early morning flight.

Joan is very friendly and helpful. She seeks to accommodate guests in whatever way she can. My room was quiet and had a private bathroom and shower. I was able to arrive quite late my first night, around 2am, and was left clear instructions on how to get in. Everything was clean and charming. Thanks Joan!

The property is unique and the setting is beautiful. We could tell it was once a magnificent mansion. The view is stunning of the bay. Because of the age it is in need of updates. The paint is peeling and the furnishing are old. The bed is comfortable and we slept well. The method of communication is interesting. When we arrived we pulled into the driveway and I entered in through a sliding glass door. It was open and there was a welcome sign. There was also an indoor pool that is not accessible to guests. The lady, who I believe is the manager or owner, came out and asked me what I was doing. I told her who I was and asked where I should park. She told me I had to move our car and go to the front door and read the note there. My husband had gone to the front door and there were folded notes next to the door for each guest with instructions. We finally got the code, parked our car, and went up a long flight of stairs to our room. We had to leave for the airport by 7:00 am and we were told that was too early for breakfast. It is served from 8:30 to 10. The airport is about a 10 minute drive and the runway is very close. There is a for sale sign on the property. It was a unique experience and I would recommend it to those who like to stay someplace in historical homes.

It was a beautiful area, especially this time of year. Joan, our hostess, was very friendly and helpful. Her breakfast was wonderful, and there was plenty of everything. If you left there hungry, it would your own fault. The time I was there I felt at home. Joan was fantastic.

A very short stay to end a business trip near the airport. So conveniently located. The property is adorable. I love that they had water waiting for me in the room. Everything was clean. Everything was organized and no detail was left off. Wish I could Have stayed longer

GR8 Boston B&B

Excellent location costing $30 for cab ride from downtown Intercontinental hotel to B&B. Public transit near by to their subway system. King Bed was comfortable with lots of blankets in a very clean house. They have 4 rooms. Breakfast included yogurt, juices, cereal, fresh fruit, boiled eggs, cheese, ham, sausage, toast and coffee. Joan was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

My room in general was basic but reasonably clean, not bad. One thing, when I opened one cabinet there was a fridge that was not functional and completely fallen apart. Why was it there and not in a damp? While the cabinet was closed I still knew the horrible remnant of the fridge was there and this knowledge freaked me out. I spent most of the day away from the hotel and I just crushed for a few hours before going to the airport, feeling relieved. The shower was fine thanks god. The shuttle was on time and nice driver thanks god. The lobby smelled of marijuana. I do not really mind but other people might. As there are no dining options at the hotel, the hallways tend to be littered by used bags with remnants of take away food, not pretty. My short stay costed me $202.

I had such a great stay at the Chateau sur Mer. I used to live in Boston, so I was coming back for a bit of a nostalgia visit. I chose this spot due to price (compared to regular hotels in Boston proper) and I am glad I did. Winthrop is still super close to the city (you can get there by ferry or bus/T) and it was great to get to experience a new area in addition to revisiting known areas. The b&b was quaint as hell. It's got character, it was clean, my room had a water view and the breakfast was lovely. Would definitely recommend staying here.

B&B is conveniently located not far from the airport and by the bay. Lots of places to eat within a walking distance. The entire place looks like a museum. The room was absolutely phenomenal.
