I stayed here Halloween/Election day 2020 and while everything wasn't technically perfect this visit to Boston (my 4th) was exceptional so my review might reflect that. Let me start off by saying the bathrooms here are immaculate, you have private and group options but they are top tier either way. The rooms are very bare bones but adequate (bring an extension cord if you're in a dorm). I observed a Ouija seance in the kitchen area and subsequently heard scratching in the walls that the participants and I thought could be a rat if not a conjured spirit and when I went upstairs to my room (right above the kitchen) one of my roommates said they saw a rat and requested a different room. I wasn't phased, my bed was the top bunk (lol) the staff said they would address it but I didn't hear anything about it after that. One of my roommates had terrible shoe odor and that soured my experience toward the end but that was not the Hostel's fault. I got an extra night and there was a little confusion as the guy at the front desk tried to manually charge my card and said it was 'declined' but I showed him it was charged by Expedia and that was cleared up. There were a few weird characters but that's par for the course. Would recommend

Called number at hotel locked door and was told this was no longer a hotel and there are no rooms for rent . I feel Expedia failed in not telling me it was no longer a hotel. I’m no longer comfortable trying to use Expedia again! And I’m putting out warnings to others . Jerry Nonis

Room was freezing cold abd and gust of cold air kept on coming in throug the window where the AC unit is (sides were coming off and tHts where the wind kept coming in from. Even qftet i tried to use thr extra blanket to block off the spaces ny the ac unit

As soon as we read this we had our maitenance team on it and fixing it. These building in Boston can be very...historical at times. Whenever visiting us next, please let us know if you experience any temperature discomfort and if needed we can always upgrade you to something more comfortable hassle free!

I wish the basic amenities of towels, trash can and comforter were in my room. That was disappointing because I thought those would be givens.

Hello, it is not the standard we have here to have any guest rooms without trash can, comforter, or towels. We always have staff on site in the lobby, that can get you those items and additional items as well, whenever needed.

Got into our room and there were multiple BLOOD splatters on the walls as if it was a crime scene. Literally looked like a movie. The guy at the lobby did not seem phased at all. Got a refund and got out of there. Wasn’t nice either and just overall not even worth $20.

We really appreciate your concern. Upon investigation from multiple professional parties in the city of Boston, there was not a trace of blood anywhere to be found in the room, which was inspected immediately after you left. These rooms are wiped down and sanitized with EcoLabs certified chemicals that are proven to kill the coronavirus.
