“The room was clean but patio door lock was broken. There were a couple of stains on the carpet. The water pressure in the shower was dreadful!”

“Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. ”

“There were some lovely touches about the general accommodation such as pretty chandeliers, nice artwork and grand mirrors. We were in room 6 which was advertised as lacking natural light, this was fine, but the decor was so dark and such a dull lightbulb, it made the room feel so dingy. There was no plug point near the mirror, so doing hair was difficult. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and there was a lovely big fan in the room to help combat the heat. “Esta muy apartado del centro. Pero al lado de la estación de St Leonard Warrior. Una zona no muy buena. El hotel es más como una pensión. Aparentemente parece que está bien. Pero luego una vez allí se nota la falta de mantenimiento y personal. La habitación normal. El agua de la ducha sin presión. La cama bien. La tele no funcionaba bien. Tiene un patio muy mono. El desayuno normal. Lo mejor sin duda el recepcionista Francisco, como no, español. Muy caro para lo que es. No repetiría. ”

“We enjoyed our one night stay in this historic pub, with free off street parking. Battle is a wonderful village full of history and we really enjoyed the evening exploring the town and enjoying the vista. The hotel is small, old and quaint. The room was small,but comfortable with a private bathroom with shower,along with complimentary tea and coffee. Would recommend this Inn for exploring this historic area of East Sussex.”

“Stayed one night for a special occasion. Arrived to an empty reception and waited to be let in by the staff who says he's living there. Room was tired and needed a deep clean — springy noisy bed, dust, cobwebs and spiders. Worst part: a huge dog barking and running around directly above us all night and from 7am, which cost us our sleep and our breakfast. Asked at check-out whose dog it was and was told possibly a guest's — then watched the check-in staff member walk a huge dog upstairs to the...
