The decor was amazing and really transported you to an experience in travel taking you to a beautiful romantic room unlike any chain hotel . Our stay had all the modern amenities with the charm of a French chateau. There is no elevator and additional rooms may be in a different building. Jen, the hotel representative, was wonderful assisting with all our needs including recommendations of where to go in Bordeaux, Be sure to dine in the restaurant that is part of hotel - Chez DuPont, great food and service ,

Absolutely charming and a wonderful surprise! We felt like we were living in our own little home while we were here. Very spacious room (we had deluxe triple) equipped with a decanter of lillet and two glasses! We were greeted by Jeanne who lugged our suitcases upstairs since the room wasn’t ready. Great location on a VERY quaint and quiet street but easy access to all tram lines and two blocks from the river. For people who want fancy slick modern accommodations this isn’t the place for you, but for anyone who wants comfort and atmosphere, YES! Bed was very comfortable and a little breakfast bar ensuite made waking up a even more comfortable.

Location is excellent. Jean(Jen) was super helpful. It was hot weather and a/c kept the room cool. It is up a flight of stone stairs with no lift. Not an issue for us. Lots restaurants and shops close and river walk about 5 minutes. Tram 2 minutes away can help you get around as well. Enjoyed the Les Halle’s de Bacalan(local food court) and wine museum right next door is fun. Bordeaux was a blast. Can’t wait to do it again

Bordeaux by the River

Beautiful room in Bordeaux close to the river. Some might find the stairs a bit difficult but definitely worth it. Also connected to an awesome restaurant next door.

Great location and easy to check-in (room was in a building separate to reception, but the check-in instructions were very clear). Lots of effort has gone into the decor too (stayed in Salmide, very interesting including skylight view of nearby cathedral). But the mattress was exceptionally hard, and the WiFi was very slow. It would be helpful if the room listings made clear what floor they're on. It turned out that Salmide is on the third floor, stairs only. I have mobility issues so I would have chosen a different room if I'd known.

Not as expected.

Communication was great, location perfect. The Sanchez room is on the first floor. We were informed that on day two of our stay the toilet seat would be replaced as it was broken, not ideal but it did get replaced. The shower drained really slowly which we asked to be repaired at the same time. The room is of fair size but its in desperate need of a good clean. Cobwebs are hanging from the ceiling, extractor filters thick with thick dust. The bed is round, it’s terrible, it tips from one side to the other and very uncomfortable. The room is above/side of a bakery, they start work early and you hear all the noise and the baking smells fill the room. This didn’t bother us but would some. Overall the room requires some love.

We had an incredible stay here. The location was so ideal, wonderful restaurants and cafes nearby. Air conditioning was perfect, even on the heat wave. Parking nearby was easy, the staff was incredibly helpful. The rooms were gorgeous and perfect for our family. So beautiful inside and out. As long as you are okay with stairs, this will be the perfect stay. We will definitely be back!

Everything was perfect about this lodging. The location is incredible. You can’t look in any direction without seeing a great restaurant or beautiful cathedral. Jeanne, the manager, was extremely helpful even though this isn’t a typical hotel with 24/7 front desk service. Everything was clean and comfortable-the bed, the bathroom, and the air conditioning was key for our visit in August. Not to mention how beautiful the room itself was with great decoration and style. See the picture for the morning view from the bed. 10/10, wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Bordeaux now that we know about Une Chambre Chez Dupont.
