Wonderful staff and easy check in. The hotel itself is old and tired but opposite the rail station and surrounded by good food bistros. If it is just a bed for the night this is it.

We loved the Hotel Regina. First for the convenience and liveliness of location, but ultimately for its unique depth of character and wonderful staff. For a first introduction to France, I’d say it can’t be beat!

A lovely hotel

The hotel was at a perfect location (opposite St Jean Station). We were both impressed with the amazing staff who went beyond to assist us. The room was good, clean & had all the basic commodities. I would consider Staying there again.

Perfect location, very easy to get around and great for transfers from the airport. Staff were excellent, i speak no French but the staff more than helped out. Very nice continental breakfast. Would stay again

Very convenient position, immediately opposite Bordeaux's main train station. Clean room with good aircon. I enjoyed the breakfast which was not expensive. 24 Hour front desk - an important feature opposite a busy transport hub. Friendly staff who all spoke enough English for my needs. Would use again.

The staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was on a par with expectations. But the decor in the room was awful - brown, drab, old-fashioned; the power points in the wall were loose and unsafe; and, worst of all, the bed was too low and uncomfortable. Also, we found the hotel was over-priced by about 30 euros per day compared with other, more modern hotels within walking distance of the Regina.

A great slightly vintage feel in a hotel. Excellent desk staff !! Helpful and friendly. Would like to see USB for electronics charging instead of plugging a transformer into the wall.
