The male receptionist lied to us: we asked him to change the battery in the smoke/carbon monoxide detector because it was beeping constantly (typical when the battery is low), and he assured us he had done it, but he hadn't. We spent the entire night without sleeping due to the constant beeps. At check-out, the female receptionist checked the issue, apologized, and confirmed it was indeed a low battery. “My room was clean and the staff was kind. I had higher expectations for a hotel that has an 8.4 rating tho. The pillow situation was mediocre as was the bed and bedding. While there was variety of carbs for breakfast, there was no hot food or protein other than yogurt. The hotel was fine, but I expected more and better from an 8.4. My rating would be more of a 7.8, but again, the room was clean and the staff were kind”
