Helpful staff

Cannot thank the reception staff enough. Our bags never turned up. So we were without several important things throughout our stay. One guy offered us his phone charger. He also phoned the lost property at the airport to try to help us. The room was a bit dated, but it was clean.

Millenn Hotel

My flight landed late at night and a hotel representative said the lobby was manned 24/7. I was grateful to arrive just after midnight and be called by my name and quickly checked-in and sent to my room. It's an older hotel but clean and sufficient. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is GREAT to explore the Old Town area of Bologna (easy 15-ish minute walk) and about a 5 minute walk to the train station.

The staff here were extremely friendly, and the breakfast was wonderful. I'd booked a single room, but was given a room with two twin beds. The room wasnt huge, but didnt feel crowded, and the bathroom was surprisingly large and modern. An easy walk from the train station, and good access to busses, although I mostly walked to go sightseeing. Great value for money.

The hotel is in desperate need of repair and refurbishment. Water stains and paint peeling on the walls, old and worn linens, etc….they also claim to have a business center and a fitness center on their website but both are not true. The only positive is that the staff is incredibly nice.

This hotel is right close to the train station, but construction makes it easy to get turned around. Although the staff works to make you happy, the ownership does not. My room at $100 was smaller than some closets, seriously you could not fit a double bed in there. Mini-fridge didn't work, air conditioner/heater didn't work. Who puts white carpet on hotel stairs? Top floor looks OK but by the lower floors the carpet is disgusting. The free breakfast was good, but at these prices should include more perks..

Not even 1 star hotel

One of the worst hotels you can book in bologna, they are self proclaimed 3 stars hotel. Just look at the pictures of safety hazard, socket fell out in hallway and it is exposing live current which is very dangerous specially for young kids. The room itself had only 3 electric sockets, 1 for light 1 for tv and 1 for fridge. If you need to charge your devices or use the socket you will have to turn off one of these things. And the light wasn’t enough in the room with the small ceiling windows. Only good thing about the hotel was the staff who were doing all they could to keep the place running.

Never Again

Things looked optimistic with the check in, but from that moment everything went downhill. I expected more for a 3 star at over 125 euros a night. Blankets & carpet all very worn & tacky, tiny shower cubicle, my colleague had a broken hanging shelf in their shower cubicle, black mould growing on towels stuffed to block drafts and water coming in the fire exit on the corridor, no hot breakfast available, sour faced servers in the breakfast room, lift not working on check out so had to drag 4 bags down the stairs. TV aerial socket hanging out the wall so the TV was very moody. Didn't work at all from day 3. The hinges stuck out from where the door closing in the refrigerator used to be. To cap it all, at check-out, was asked if I'd taken anything from the mini-bar. After I asked "what mini-bar" I had a sarcastic response from the staff which made me realise they were referring to the 2 bottles of water they left in a refrigerator. There had been no note or listing informing the guest that the two small waters would cost 3 euros obviously on purpose.

The major concerns were broadly acceptable - fair breakfast, friendly staff, acceptable cleanliness. But there was no heat in the room and the staff was unable to either explain or rectify that condition. This hotel is not an antique, either; but its sign was not illuminated and about half of the lobby had been blocked off and was dark. The location near the station was good and the street quiet. But what's with a hotel that doesn't turn on it sign?

Chambre dans son jus, murs sales, impossible de fermer la chambre à clé, literie et mobilier datent. Et alarme incendie qui sonné à 7h à cause du grille pain du petit déjeuner … Pour une nuit sans besoin de confort OK mais pas plus car cher pour la prestation.
