Hotel is very dated. In desperate need of a renovation. Location and staff were amazing. Breakfast and parking should be included in the daily fee.

Super location, friendly staff, & good breakfast. Rooms are a bit dated & have Ltd noise suppression so frequently hear others closing/opening room doors & talking in the hallways.

We were only in Balogna for one night, so we were looking for a cheap clean hotel. This was it. Nothing fancy but it worked for us. Breakfast in the morning was convenient for 10 euros. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely not anything luxurious but it was clean and that’s all that mattered to us.

The hotel was clearly a palazzo, retaining some grand and elegant reception rooms in which to sit. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good and varied (juice, hot drinks, fruit, cereal, bacon, eggs, meats, cheese and varied pastries). I chose a very well priced en-suite Basic single room for 1 night. It was quiet, clean, well furnished with a comfortable bed, crisp clean sheets and towels. Whilst that level of room is not luxurious, you could stay in that room for a couple of nights or more at a very good rate.

I stayed 4 nights in a clean, comfortable and quiet room. The temperature outside was in the mid-30s C every day but the room had aircon and I slept very well. The hotel is a grand old place with atmosphere, originally an 18th c palazzo. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

This place is a nightmare. Too small, dirty, loud, no parking, and smelly. GREAT service though! The people were nice but the building was failing apart. With all that said, the biggest turn off was the Craft Singles slices of cheese offered at breakfast. We're in Croatia! A breakfast, by the way, I wouldn't suggest to my worst enemy because that would be too cruel. I added some pictures of the bathroom which includes a special featured bidet and shower combo just in case you're not feeling "fresh enough"

Very central location. Common areas elegant and generous but rooms are dated and basic. Single room with no fridge, no coffee, no a/c (just a small fan which was inadequate with the heat and humidity). Very quiet.

Excellent Location, Terrible Accommodations A very mixed review! We traveled from the United States and expected basic hotel standards. Location: Absolutely perfect! Right in the heart of everything, just minutes from shops, restaurants, and main squares. Staff: Extremely friendly, unless you need help with your luggage. That's apparently not something they do. Rooms: Absolutely terrible! The hotel is literally falling apart. Rooms are outdated and feel unclean. The mattresses are so worn out you feel like you're falling through them. Even the floors feel soft and unstable, as if they might give way. Carpets are old and dirty.

The location is great / The breakfast is great / the staff on the desk are great / the room is very old, with very old carpet, a ridiculous mobile air conditioning machine, and outer doors which do not close, with very old curtains which also do not close. I could hear a man snoring in the next door room at night. The items in the bathroom are minimal, just very small sachets of shampoo / body wash. But overall, I enjoyed my stay. Barry

This hotel is extremely well located in the Old Town and ideal for a few days in Bologna . The hotel is old fashioned but elegant , and the rooms are small but functional . The staff were very helpful and answered all our queries in excellent English . The breakfast was very good and included in the price. Very good value for money and would stay here again.

Very good location, Very good breakfast.. Clean Classic Double bedroom with good bedroom and bathroom facilities and linen but bathroom problem (see further). Helpful and hardworking staff, particularly very efficient and friendly breakfast ladies, chamber maids and Reception staff. However: my bathroom (Room 101) smelled badly of bad drains. I was told it happened when it rained - though there had been no rain. I was given a spray to help but the smell returned every day. Also there was a terrible smell on the 1st floor which apparently was ongoing. So, the hotel needs to deal with what seems like embedded problems on the 1st floor. I don’t know if other floors or bedrooms have the same problems. Also hotel is run down in several areas with stained and very worn carpets on the stairs and in my bedroom, and dingy/gloomy staircase whose walls need to be painted. The owners need to spend some money on the hotel and not just rely on good staff and occupancy

The best about the place was the location. The place didn't have aircondition only a floor fan which isn't enough in this heat. Bed wasn't the best either. Breakfast was great tho.
