Clean rooms, soft comfy beds and a balcony to watch drunk young people wreck E-bikes in downtown Boise, twice now. That's a funny laugh. I've stayed here for 4 or 5 years, will come again next year. Get to your room early, later night parking is further.

This property is very dated. Carpet in hallways has tape across rips. Furniture in room was old and scratched up. We didn’t have hot water in our room but staff fixed that. Our room was clean and bed was comfortably. Pool itself was very clean but decor and patio furniture and covers were falling apart.

The RedLion Boise Downtowner is a throwback to an era of the big, beautiful hotel lobby, nice hotel rooms, great customer service and ample amenities. Being a "senior citizen ", I appreciate the relative ease of the moving in process with the elevators. I like the old school feel of the hotel. It brings back memories of the time when the Red lion Boise Downtowner was in its heyday. I highly recommend it, especially if you're looking for a comfortable place to stay right in the heart of downtown Boise.

The Red Lion Boise Downtowner is in dire need of a renovation. The entry/ registration area/ breakfast area is not bad even nice but the hallway carpeting is a mess and a trip hazard and dirty. The a/c didn't work in our room. Luckily the staff let me use their office fan at 3am to help with the heat. I changed hotels for our second night and was given a refund for that night and 1/2 off for our first night. The staff was very helpful and kind to help me out with this fustrating stay.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Red Lion in Boise. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and conveniently located, but what really stood out was the exceptional service at the front desk. The South African lady who checked me in was absolutely wonderful. I unfortunately don’t remember her name, but her kindness, professionalism, and genuine warmth made a lasting impression. After a long day of travel, being greeted by someone so friendly and welcoming made all the difference. She took the time to answer my questions, offered helpful local recommendations, and made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another reservation.

The staff were very helpful and kind, and parking was easily accessible. As a young traveler, I like to be cost effective when booking hotels and this one served its purpose for the price. The room was clean and the location is close to downtown. It is a bit of an old building so there was wear/ tear in the hallways, and it smelled a bit like cigarette smoke, but those were the only issues which aren't very big ones in my book. Overall my friend and I enjoyed our stay, and would stay again!
