This hotel is disgusting. Place is straight from an 80’s horror movie. Blood on the sheets, bathroom barely functional, floor to ceiling windows with threadbare drapes. Checked in and went to the room and turned around for a refund. Desk lady was super nice and indicated that this happened all the time.
One of side doors to the building fell off its hinges. It was lying on the ground and when we left 36 hours later it was still had not been fixed. Also the bathroom light was not working.
The staff was very rude. Simple questions got us very negative responses. They were not helpful in the least. The room was filthy. The carpet was stained and full of garbage as if it hadn't been vacuumed, the bathtub drain was full of hair that was sticking out everywhere, and there was a layer of dust on everything. I didn't even want to sit on the bed, but we were stuck as we had been told that the property around were all worse.
BE WARNED! THIS IS A RAMADA WYNDAM NOT A WYNDAM GARDEN HOTEL. ORBITZ HAS THE NAME WRONG. I've traveled for work for 25 years and you get to know hotel chain and there is a certain level of quality you associate with a brand name. We arrived at the hotel and were surprised by the rat trap on the sidewalk but went in anyway. Check in was fine but as we walked down the dreary hallway to our room we started smelling a strange odor.
We opened the door to our room and the smell was awful. We stood there contemplating what to do. My husband took off his shoes and the carpet was crunchy and then we lifted the sheets and noticed the mattress was no longer white and there were horrible stains on it. At this point we decided to check out and go to another hotel. At check out, the staff didn't ask why we were departing 10 minutes after we checked in. She just wanted to make sure I knew the hotel wouldn't refund me. I told her I didn't ask for a refund, I asked to check out and then told her why. AVOID THIS HOTEL and Orbitz, correct the name.
The sink in the bathroom kep filling up with dirty water and clogging so it was un usable. The paint in the hot tube was flaking off so you had paint chips allover your legs or anywhere that touched the steps or seating. There was a homeless looking gentle man roaming the halls knocking on people's doors and waiting to see if anyone answered them. The sink ended up overflowing on the floor from the counter and the pipes underneath started spewing water everywhere. The phone was not working in the room either. I also feel like the sheets were not changes bc there was a lighter under the fitted sheet in the middle of the bed.
The flooring is taped in sections in the hallway with black electrical tape and there is broken ceiling tiles everywhere.
Lastly I know this is my fault for leaving my daughter's life vest at the pool area when we left to go to bed but when I went back in the morning it wasn't there and front reception didnt seem to care about trying to see if any maitenance and or housekeeping had found it and had it.
To be honest would not stay here again and wouldnt recommend.
