Have you ever been through Boise City? It's an unusual place. The town was founded on fraud. Some con-men distributed pamphlets selling land plots. The pamphlets claim there was a thriving community with artisan springs. When the buyers of the plots arrived here, they found harsh conditions.

Boise City was hit especially hard during the dust bowl in the 1930's. And in 1943, Boise City was the only bombed by pilots who mistook the town for target during a training exercise for WWII.

This dinosaur greets visitors coming south from Colorado as they enter the town.
