The Arin resort is an OK resort, but it’s calling itself a 5 star resort and unfortunately it simply isn’t that. The location is great with great sunset views. That part is fantastic.
But language is definitely a barrier we found not many staff were able to speak English very well. It was hard to ask questions to the kitchen staff or even at reception.
The way they operate for the à la carte restaurants is odd. You have to reserve which is very normal but they also ask you to book your main course meal a day in advance. And the menus for the à la carte restaurants are rather limited.
The food at the main buffet restaurant is Ok but again rather average and not a 5 star quality buffet. The restaurant staff (waiters) are also not attentive, multiple nights we weren’t approached at all to be asked if we wanted anything to drink.
The pool closes at 7pm which is rather early and the sun bed situation is chaotic. People reserve beds starting at 8am and are not at the beds for the majority of the day. One of the days we saw the couple come only for 15 minutes near the end of day yet they had saved their beds the entire day and no one from the staff came to do anything about it. Other pool staff moved sun beds and umbrellas in a chaotic fashion, putting sun beds in areas that should be free to walk, you then need to dodge things to walk around.
There’s also smoking allowed everywhere which isn’t very pleasant.
The spa is the only redeeming part to go with the great views!
